After reading that, it is clear why the Patriots let him go and also Minnesota. Unless he takes this as a lesson (which I doubt), he does not need to be here. He needs a year off or needs to retire and become a no body.
If Moss was to fall to us and we make a claim...we'd own his rights and could simply refuse to play or activate him if he shows his arse. Thereby effectively ending his career much the same as Detroit did with Barry Sanders. If I was the owner I wouldn't be afraid to use just it and let Moss know either. Of course that little nugget wouldn't be revealed to him until after he showed his behind the first time.
Thats a tiny bit of insurance right there that he'd marginally stay in line.
Everyone knows Moss is a supreme deva a..hole that is not a shocker, and I don't care about his lack of class, if he can help us to a SB then sign him, isnt like we got nothing to lose.

Is that how waivers really works (I don't claim to be knowledgeable on the subject)? I thought it only would give us rights for the remainder of the season. If we activated him or not wouldn't he be a free agent at the end of the season? That wouldn't necessarily end his career, as he'd take up with some other team that is foolish enough to put up with his B.S.
As for Sanders, once again I'm no historian on his career as the Lions were one of the teams I always knew the least about, but I thought he resigned abruptly in the middle (or earlier on) in his contract, and the Lions demanded part of his bonus back. My recollection of Sanders' situation as he left the league is much different than that of Moss. Oh yeah, and also I don't recall Sanders being a freakin a$$hole.

I wonder if he would go to the Jets and try that comment with ANY family-owned restaurant in the Tri-State area. he'd get his pot puffin butt KICKED into the Hudson river lol

Either he is drunk or had an extra serving of his usual meals of hay.

Horses eat hay..Stallions even. That means you're calling him a STUD. I'm glad you two have patched things up.
Normally name calling is frowned upon here, but it's obvious you were paying him a compliment.
yes he's a jerk and a meanie. people on this team have done way worse I am sure (hello? beating wives/girlfriends?). bottom line he was worth the risk. let someone in the locker room beat his ass for being a jerk to the caterer.

It was a mom and pop place, not a catering company. Just the latest in a pattern of a-hole-dom from this guy. I hope he enjoys the food in Tennessee.
Lol mom and pop's at least he is a honest guy even if its brutal, Id rather be hated for who I am than loved for somthing that I am not, however yeah what he said would have had some issues, Minn prob sent him out, because about every other player that was there was ready to punch his face in and he was threatned with death!! lol

I for one am happy as hell that this ass hole is not a Dolphin. Anyone that would run his mouth like this, when the orginazation is offering food free from a local place, is a complete jerk. The team has a good policy of promoting a local place and then this total jerk runs his mouth.
I am glad that the Vikings canned his ass and we passed on him.
I really don't want a Super Bowl that bad.
Mia1, to imply that this jerk has some sort of character for speaking his mind is ridiculous. It takes character to understand a situation and act accordingly. This a-hole has ZERO. He would be NOTHING without his god given talent and then he pulls this? You've got to be kidding.

Uhh, if it's between winning a Superbowl or losing...I take winning any day.

Uhh fine, that's the difference between you and me. Actually , the difference between most people and me.
I been rooting for this team since the fall of 1967. I was absolutely outraged when we traded away our draft choice that did not allow us to draft Randy Moss.
But rooting for a team that long means more than just rooting for SuperBowls and wins.
I may be silly. I may be old-fashioned but when I root for a team like rooting for a college, I feel I am rooting for something that stands for something.
I have been no more prouder of any of my affiliations than my fanship with the Miami Dolphins. I for one agree with Aqua & Orange, Leon in Denver and those above who say that if this is the type of a-hole he is, then I give an "atta boy" to Minnesota and I certainly don't want him as a Miami Dolphin.
Even if I disregard what is impossible to disregard, ill treatment of little people, I felt so proud when I read that the Minnesota coach said that his team stood for something and he was going to live up to it no matter what the consequences. It also speaks well of the ownership that they backed him up.
For us to grab him would only drag us into the mud.
You know what I read today, ironically? I read that Daunte Culpepper is now playing for a minor league team in Sacramento wherein the field of play is only 60 yards long.
He could not get back into the NFL after an injury but is playing for this minor league team, doing his best, enjoying it and dreaming of coming back to the NFL.
Now compare the two. I'm sorry, I just believe that CHARACTER COUNTS.
