The need for video verification after a fumble is only needed to determine possession after reversing a down by contact call on the field to a fumble. If it cannot be determined who has the ball, it is awarded back to the offense at the spot of the fumble.

No such requirement is in the rules regarding touchdowns overturned into fumbles at the goal line. If pervy Ben fumbled the ball out of the endzone it is possessed by "no one" and it's a touchback for Miami.

If the ball is fumbled into the endzone and possession is not able to be determined, there is no rule that states the offense automatically gets the ball back. Since "no one" possesses the ball, it's a touchback. Same as if he fumbled it out of the endzone...

The officials created their own rule on the fly and burned us. They didn't know what to do, so they made shit up.

The NFL needs full time ref's. NOW.

Are you making that up... cause this is what the rules say about fumbles...

On a play from scrimmage, if an offensive player fumbles anywhere on the field during fourth down, only the fumbling player is permitted to recover and/or advance the ball. If any player fumbles after the two-minute warning in a half, only the fumbling player is permitted to recover and/or advance the ball. If recovered by any other offensive player, the ball is dead at the spot of the fumble unless it is recovered behind the spot of the fumble. In that case, the ball is dead at the spot of recovery. Any defensive player may recover and/or advance any fumble at any time.

But dres the key word you say is that if anyone fumbles "on the field." Is that the same as "in the endzone?"
