Jason Allen is not a cornerback.

I don't disagree that Allen's a liability at cornerback, but I'm not sure that Sean Smith is much of an upgrade. He's been burned pretty regularly as well. Bennie Sapp is a journeyman. Nolan Carroll has shown promise but is not ready and would be feasted upon if we put him in. We may be stuck with Allen because we have no reasonable alternative. That is an area that must be upgraded.
It seems that our whole secondary just sucks right now.
Clemons, Sapp, and Smith wouldn't start on most teams, and it's obvious why.
When you can't cover and can't tackle, you normally wouldn't see the field much, except for special teams.
Jason Allen is a FS trying to play CB. Not working. I think he'd make a better FS than what we have now.
We really blew it when we didn't take that FS from Texas at #12 when we had the chance. Game changers at that position are hard to find.
The secondary is definately the weakest part of the D right now.
I would agree with that. Outside of Bell, we are weak in that area. I will have to say Vonte is doing good also, but that is the toughest position in football to play. With all the rules that are out there, it is either make a play or get the foul. Tough position, but poor tackling like we say yesterday is unacceptable.

I'd stop short of calling Big Ben "one of the best QB's of all time", but I agree with the rest. Ben is one of the best QB's in the league today, no doubt, but of "all time"?? Not quite yet.

And, yet, there was talk about cutting him because he's an embarrassment to the organization. Honestly, neither of us can predict the future. I think Big Ben is great, but comparing him to the best of all time is a big premature.

Where was this comment when he was getting all of those picks at the beginning of the year? also no corner should get burned deep when you have a FS on the field, i dont think that was just JA's fault... Infact i am almost sure that we dont have a corner good enough to play man up with no safety help overtop, if we do it is not JA.
