Date: October 24, 2010 06:55PM I just read that possibly if a ball is fumbled into the endzone it MUST be recovered by the person who fumbled it, otherwise no matter who recovers it , it is a touchback....Is that true?
Either way we got screwed...(ie. we recovered the ball) Re: Is this the Rule?

Date: October 25, 2010 06:08AM could you post the verbiage/text of the rule to which you are referring? If it is true, then it absolutely seals the case. The refs clearly said they could not determine who recovered it...meaning that they could not determine that Ben recovered it...meaning that by rule it is a touchback. Re: Is this the Rule?

Date: October 25, 2010 06:12AM I think the rule is if the ball is fumbled OUT OF THE END ZONE, meaning it goes out of bounds from the end zone. That means no one recovered it. That didn't happen in this case. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
