I posted that same report earlier. I am just not sure about this one.

It has Mike Florio reporting all over it.

Ok, I am definately getting word that Henne will not be benched. The coaching staff still considers him our QB and he will remain that way when we play GB in two weeks.

Anyone, and I mean anyone, can create an account and write a story on the "Bleacher Report".

I don't even bother to go there.

Why not let Pennington take over while Henne studies the game some more. We all know Pennington is a seasoned vet and needs no further "developing." As I see it now, the team has the elements in place now for a playoff run, except we can't afford the time it'll take for Henne to develop pocket presence, check downs, and leadership skills.

Benching him now would be terrible. A QB can't be constantly looking over his shoulder. That could kill his career.

It's all BS. Too much blame being put on Henne by people with little to no football knowledge.

Protecting Henne's confidence? Are you kiddin me? Competition is good, I say start Penny. This is a man's game, this isn't little league where we're afraid of hurting a little boys feelings.

RESPONSE: You know a guy really doesn't want to come out and say it but some people think that there is truly only one player on a football team and that is the quarterback. They think that if the team wins, then the quarterback has done his job and if the team loses, it is all his fault.

There are 22 players and various special teams players on a football team.

As I posted elsewhere, you take away the 3 special teams touchdowns we gave away and the pick 6 interception caused by Brandon Marshall stopping his route when Henne was in the process of throwing and we win that game 14-13.

But all that the people who blame Henne can see is if he had led the team to a touchdown every time we got the ball, those 21 points given up by the special teams would not have mattered.

Yep.

Like I've said, if you ask some of these "fans", if you don't throw more completions than you do attempts then you're failing as a QB.

I'll let the sarcasm sink in for a bit for the Jets fans.

This is flat out a BS report. They asked Sparano about it and his response was something along the lines of "Jesus Christ, are you kidding me?"

The fact that Mortensen reported that Miami wants to go to TYLER THIGPEN tells you what a dumb-ass report this is. Henne is much, much better than Thigpen.

I cant see your logic in the Henne is better then Thigpen comment. When Thigpen was in there (and this just doesn't include the last two series of a game that is already lost), he seemed to be in more control, willing to throw further down field, which opens up the run game, and has a better pocket presence. He does have a tendency to throw wild sometimes, but that could be a timing thing with the receivers or him just getting wild with the ball. Plus most of all, he plays with some emotion. With the way we are right now, I don't feel Henne is our best option.

Just look at their Win-Loss record.

I actually like Thigpen very much. He is an excellent back-up QB. If something happens to Henne, I would feel comfortable with Thigpen in there.
But start him now. No way.
