I love how people go overboard. It was a loss. It sucked. Special teams coach needs to get canned. Parcells already left the FO man, he's not even really doing the same job. Everything evolves in this league. I mean, look at the infamous Colts? The lost to two division opponents back to back. Sound familiar? We have things to build upon with this team and abandoning the entire plan after week 4 isn't feasible. week 8 and we're 2-5? Yea it's panic mode but not quite yet.
Guys. Think about it. New England ran all over us on their scoring drive with Danny Woodhead, who is essentially a high school running back. It has come down to that....being beaten into the ground by a high school running back...
I posted this elsewhere but it seems to fit better here:
The real issue about the state of this team, and the regime in general is passing on Ryan. Sure Jake is a very good player and was the "safe" #1 pick -- but we could of drafted a true Franchise QB and taken a LT later. That decision defines this regime -- and I don't believe Henne has shown ANY signs that he is a true Franchise QB. If that's the real story, then this regime has fundamentally failed in its "rebuilding program."
Also, we've blown a number of high picks (Pat White, Turner etc.) and have definitely missed some real opportunities to build a great team. Right now we're mid pack and no better...
Last, enough of the Cowboy castoffs already -- its like we're the recycle center for their trash.
Couple the personnell screw-ups with a way too old OC and what seems to be an underperforming staff in general (starting at the top with Sparano) and don't be surprised if Bill Cowher gets handed the keys after this season -- and the Tuna will be no longer involved.
One way or another, if this team flops this year (under 9-7 and more like 7-9) the axe is coming big-time. That's my take.
I don't think I could keep caring about Dolphins football if they bring in Carl Peterson. But I'm sure they will, since Ross is, by all appearances, a complete buffoon.

Not to mention that Carl Peterson is an incompetent boob who ran the Chiefs into the ground and kept them there for years.

I WOULD RATHER HAVE RYAN
I WOULD RATHER HAVE RYAN
I WOULD RATHER HAVE RYAN
The only stats we should look at Henne's are his win/loss record. Bess makes him look good, Marshall is the best in the game. Henne could have easily thrown six pics in a Must Win game last night. Can't take the pressure, has no presence and I bet the team doesn't have confidence in him right now.
Ross clearly doesn't care about winning. He only cares about putting on a show.
Two weeks ago during the Jets games, during a crucial, game defining 3rd down I was on the edge of my seat, and a total nervous wreck. I'm sure I was borderline intolerable to be around in that moment.
Then the camera cuts to Ross in his luxury box and he's not even watching the game. He's not even looking at the field. He's eating dinner.
