Probably the best emoticon for this news, yeah.

I mean not for Bonamego, but for Dolphins fans.

Ok, we fired ST coach, and promote the Asst. ST coach??

We need to bring in someone who has proven ST experience in the NFL.

Anyone asscoiated with the Bonamego virus needs to be let go and eradicated from the organization.

And I'd also like to know who was responsible for hiring him in the first place. Ireland??
What in the hell were his qualifications in the first place?
IMO, Bonaheado couldn't get hired at a Div 3 JC program, much less a stint in the NFL.
Brining this guy into the organization made the Pat White pick look good.
C'mon Ireland, Mr. GM, do your friggin job or get the hell out of the way for someone who can.

Wow, you have all the answers! Maybe you're the one we've been looking for all these years!

Tell me, you seem to know a lot about being a GM, but the real question is: "Can you throw 100 TD's a game and throw more completions than attempts?"

I mean that's what you fair-weather fans want, right?

At the risk of adding on to this already played out debate, C'mon man. Lets give credit where it's due. He turned a one win team to an 11 win team, he turned the mentality around, brought in a young promissing D who by the way includes a pro bowler in Dansby and a future pro bowler in Davis who didnt let moss take a breath of air monday night. Not to mention he has the respect of his players which is more than I could say about the coaches we've had before. ricky williams even said this is the best team he has been on and not just talent wise. What did you expect? for us to turn a 1-15 team into a superbowl team in a couple years? get real man its all a process and it's not about winning for one season like the Jets. We have a young team that will evolve into a serious contender in years to come. Some of you guys are acting like we havent been through worse. You guys are acting like Dan Marino never threw an interception in his life and Don Shula never lost a big game setting the bar that high. Lets get down to earth and see the positive before we start firing everyone and rebuilding for the millionth time. How is Tony supposed to show that he is the right man for the job if you dont even allow him to build his team completely. I bet if Jesus Christ himself coached this team and lost a game you'd all be calling for his head cuz everyone expects results right away. Adjustments will be made because this coach and this group of guys can bounce back.

If Sparano did not have the guts to demand that Bonamego must go, if he did not have the guts to demand that Henning be deprived of the authority to call plays, then he should go also.

If Sparano did not have the sense to tell Henning, "Don't bring this Wildcat sh_t to me."

If Sparano did not have the guts to demand the autonomy that the Tuna himself insisted on when he was head coach, his butt should go too.

Either he agreed with that crap or he didn't say, "Hey, I'm not staying as long as that crap is here."

Sooner or later they will make him the next scapegoat anyway so either he's a coward or a fool.
