We need to kill this thing once-and-for-all. When it didn't work in the first half, we should have given it up in the 2nd. It took Henne off his rhythm, and, as far as I can remember, it didn't net even one positive play in the 2nd half.
I was absolutely screaming at the television. Why would we call it when we were moving the ball fine without it? Over the last two games it has done nothing but stall our drives. What is Henning thinking? We lost this game, in part, because we ran Wildcat when it made no sense to do so. It is time to put it on the shelf.
I have been saying all late last year and this year that the Wildcat serves no function but to stop our own momentum. For us, its time has passed. It worked for the Jets and is working for other teams because no one practices against it during the week before the game as they practice for it against us.
Moreover, Ronnie was much more of a threat, and so was Ricky, when it first came out. For us, its time has past.
I agree with anyone that says we need to quit using this wild cat crap. Its only taking away reps from henne. It worked when we first used it because teams werent ready for it. Now its a different story.
