We have an open roster spot

just who is going to fill it before we play the Jets. I thought we would make a roster move today. I don't understand this move why not bring in a player so that he can practice with the team before we face the hated Jets.

You would think we could find a decent kick returner to fill it.

I am thinking more of a big blocking tight end, or maybe another wide receiver. Those are the 2 positions that I think could use an upgrade.
Man I would love to have Camarillo back. He was our best wide reciever at moving the chains on 3rd down besides Devon Bess.

I'll do it. I was a fine punt returner back in the day.

I could be wrong but I have a theory on the roster spot we kept open through the day today.

I think we may possibly could have been one of the teams negotiating with the Chargers for a possible Vincent Jackson trade.

Now that Jackson was not traded I think we will see that roster spot filled.

Just my thought, but maybe not.

Hey it's a valid theory.

why would they need to do that? they could make the trade and then cut a player after it was done. nice dream but not realistic

I really like Nathan Overbay same size as Joey Haynos.

I ask again in all honesty what gives with open roster spot are we just going to carry 52 players. This makes no sense really.

I wonder if the NFLPA has some sort of rule where you have to carry all 53 on game day or something? If not the cheap teams could just 50 or something and save some $$$$$$$$$$$

Nevermind, they just claimed a TE off the Vikes practice squad.

I'm confused regarding this signing. We have another TE on our practice squad, but we sign this guy, who's completely unproven, to our regular roster?

LOL!! You'd think there'd be a cheaper option.

Not at all, I was just wondering out loud if there is some sort of rule like that. I'd be willing to bet there is.

I'm wondering if he'll be moved to the practice squad at some point. I still think we're on the lookout for a PR/KR.
