AJ Smith already rejected one trade offer that Jackson's agent brought to him. Being reported AJ might be hard-headed about this and bite off his nose to spite his face here.
4 teams in the mix....Wash, Seattle, Lions, and Vikings
2) They can cut Buerlson at seasons end and lose almost nothing
3) If they ever wanted to use CJ as trade bait (he's good but he ain't Jerry Rice) they could do that, still be strong at WR and gain draft picks or a proven player to help them elsewhere.
4) In a league where passing dominates everything, why not go for broke and load up your young franchise QB with 2 STUD WR's and build a dominate offense that way. With Best at RB, and their good young TE they would have an offense at a high level for many years.
It isn't like they are paying a ton of stars. Or anyone on defense for that matter. Just build the defense through the draft, like we pretty much did last year.

A ton but its mainly signing bonus already paid up front. I mean they pay Suh, Stafford and Calvin.....thats it. Nobody else makes any real money on that team. They could pull it off if they wanted. Playing indoors having a big-time offense would be a smart way to build that team. Plus sell some tickets too. Bring some excitment and exciting football
