If you are part of a team or organization, you run things by the people whos opinion you trust in the organization on a regular basis...

But not decisions like this. These are small things. These are things a head coach better be able to decide on his own. It's the preseason for pete sakes! If he can't make decisions on his own about the preseason games then we are totally screwed when the games really count

1) Being the best thing since Shula ain't saying much with the line of losers we had after Shula retired. Seriously, JJ, Wanny, Bates, Saban, and Cam....Canton, Ohio ain't knocking down any of their doors!
2) Every regime makes mistakes, but few make SO MANY mistakes with such high picks like we have. I mean if Turner and White get cut, and if Sean Smith loses his starting job at some point...that 2009 draft class sucks! I'm sorry it does. You got Vontae Davis and nobody else! Phillip Merling has played his last game in Miami with how they put him on the non-football injury list and will go after his signing bonus. That pick is a bust!! We have wasted more 2nd and 3rd round picks on garbage!
3) Who would I rather have (if this regime fails and is out of work soon), easy BILL COWHER!! Won a Super Bowl recently, has his teams always in the thick of things and in meaningful games. Give him total control and let him do his thing.

Sorry but I respectfully disagree. Parcell is a control freak and micromanagement specialist. Our FO and coaching staff have always worked as unit.. I bet you Parcells and Sparano and the coaches came out of the meetings this week and said, we need some momentum to build on, we have been stale. Once we have a nice drive and they play as expected, we will end on that note and pick right back up in Buffalo..
You make it sound as if Parcells is barely even watching football.
Rumor out of Dallas is Marion Barber is gonna be cut.
If he is cut, bank on him signing with Miami. I know we have NO spot for him but still, he is a good guy to have around. Plus it makes it easier next year to get rid of Ronnie and or Ricky.

If Barber signs, what happens to Hilliard? Cobbs? One of those guys would be out if Barber came in. Cobbs may have some trade value, but I'd hate to see him go. I don't think this would be a good move.
Mike you keep saying "give Cowher total control" if they were to can this regime (not a snowballs chance in hell by the way) you can count on Ross's buddy from KC being the GM (Peterson I think) He already hangs around and has been rumored to be joining the Fins. Getting rid of this regime would set this org back years.

IN THIS SCENERIO......As much as I like Cobbs, with him coming off a major knee injury.....HIT THE ROAD JACK!!!!

I can't agree with that. In preseason, Cobbs has looked like he's back 100%. He's been WAY too valuable to us in the last couple years. I actually think losing him last year hurt us more than losing Ronnie. I'd trade Ronnie if we could.
Monte, we wont be getting Barber, but if we did, hilliard would be gone, with Cobbs as the 4th rb, and Barber as our third. Barber is a imediate upgrade over those two any time of the week.
Dallas doesnt have a stellar run blocking o-line, he would flourish if our's is as good as advertised.

Cobbs isn't 100%. The coaches won't let him return kickoffs because he isn't 100%. If Dallas cuts Barber as NFLN reports are out they "might". Miami should jump on him. They could cut hillard or cobbs really, I wouldn't care. I would say cut Cobbs but whatever. Baber is an upgrade over both.

I'm guessing that Bill Cowher will be the next HC of the Carolina Panthers. Having him here sure would be nice, though. I'd love to see him spitting in the face of Rex Ryan.

Unlikely. The Panthers owner is cheap and doesn't want to spend big bucks on a big name coach. Plus he is in love with John Fox.
Well if their owner is in love with Fox then I can't wait for that splash to happen.
Parcels is probably going to exit soon & Sparano is a swell guy, but Cowher is Cowher. No fan in their right mind wouldn't want to have Cowhers' services.
