I live in South Florida and Jason Cole used to be a dolphins beat writer, and then moved to cover yahoo sports nfl.
This guy thinks he knows it all...
He is very sarcastic, and full of himself...He has been wrong almost 90% of the time with his predictions...
The cool thing about the NFL is that there are always surprises....
I personally think the Ravens are gonna be one of the teams that rise to elite this year..
I think the Dolphins have an opportunity to to do so as well...

I think the Ravens are already there. Went to the AFC Championship game 2 years ago. Won a playoff game in NE last year. They are elite already.
Can't put Giants and Eagles in the Elite group. Eagles with an unproven QB and Giants haven't been good in a year and a half. Might have to put Vikings in the elite group. When healthy they are as good as it gets (hate Favre or not).

I think they are already there honestly. I mean AFC Championship game 2 years ago. Won in NE last year in the playoffs. If their WR's can do anything their offense will open up. They are already very good on defense. I think they win that division in a cake walk too.
Yes the Ravens appear to be a great team. Strong defense, and offense that is on the move and seems to be ready to flourish. Arguing Elite, Almost Elite, Good, is kind of ridiculous, Obviously that changes from year to year. The Ravens look to be one of the best in the AFC, based on last year and offseason additions... Isnt that enough! It is hard to say anymore then that... You could say the same about the Chargers, and the Colts..
The Steelers have alot of questions, so does New England, so does the Jets, so do the Dolphins and so do the Bengals....and I am sure a team or 2 will surprise us in the AFC
onee team that has been horrible in the past, but may be sorta good this year is the Raiders.
They play in a very easy division. I think they will actually win some games this year. I'm not saying that they will make the playoffs, but hey, even 7 - 9 will be a huge jump for them.
do't forget about the Titans... they went 7 - 2 with Vince Young right?...
Yeah, but the Titans are one injury away from god awful.
If they lose Johnson, then there whole season is in the gutter, and the reason why Young brings a spark to the offense, is because he brings the threat of the run and does it well especially in the red zone.
The also lost alot of key starters on defense, so they are in decline in my eyes, but the Raiders will be better, but Campbell has a ceiling, and it isnt that high, IMHO.
I can see them at 6-10 mostly due to alot of very talented teams across the NFL this season.
