In his effort to cement his legacy in the record books, Brett Favre has set a new record by retiring and un-retiring 7 times within the span of an hour. Because of the speed at which Favre made these announcements, NFL experts are still debating whether his last pronouncement was a retirement or un-retirement. Favre announced a press conference will be held tomorrow to clarify whether he is actually retired or not. "I need a day to figure out whether I'm retired or coming out of retirement," Favre was quoted as saying. "At my age it's hard to keep track of these things."
F* farve. He's an egomaniac and drama queen. nice how he said he came back as "favor" to the team that's paying him 10+ million this year. I hope we end his career for reals when we play them.

Oh ok so its ok to wish unjust fortune to Favre, yet JT is off limits?
There are two models for great players. The ones who got out when they are somewhat at the top of their game and begin to slightly decline, like Dan Marino, and others who keep convincing themselves that they can go on forever and they end up going on far too long.
Brett is not yet at that latter category but I have no doubt that he will be because he will never retire but will only leave when no pro team will hire him (and even then I'm not sure he won't end up in Europe).
For his own sake, he should retire while he's reasonably on top. To lose his job to Aaron Rodgers, who I sat up in the Holiday Bowl in San Diego with one of my fellow CAL buddies and wondered how a college quarterback could be so awful tells you something about the assessment the Packers had about his declining abilities.

What are you talking about?
Europe? They don't have a league there any more.
Favre just came off his best performance ever!!
Come on if you can perform at a high level for 19 years why wouldnt you finish it off at 20.
I knew three years ago, that he would play untill the 20th season unless injured to bad.
I dont think he will play after this year unless they lose the SB, that would be the only way he would play for 41, otherwise get your TEVO ready, because this will be the last season the NFL will have Favre, who will play just as solid as last year, because he has a great team around him.
Favre who cares, He was a real good QB, who has now made himself into a punchline to many Jokes... Friggin Sears made commercials about him not being able to make up his mind, thats what he will be forever known for, the guy who couldn't decide to retire.... To bad I would have liked to remember he was a tough guy that played great as a QB...
Farve, who has great stats, loses as many game as he wins. I think he is over rated. Yes he is tough, yes he can throw and play the game at a high level. Will he win another SB, I doubt that very much. He will throw interceptions and lose in the playoffs if he is lucky enough to get there again. Gunslingers win a lot of gun fights, but wind up getting shot in the end.
