Against the Bucs for God's sake!!! There is no excuse for this kind of a performance!! I understand that it is preseason and all, but for Henne and Marshall to be that out of sync is scary!! Both of our starting corners got beat by guys who play for the Bucs!! There better be some major ass chewings going on in the locker room!!
Chill big guy. Brandon and Henne weren't "out of sync". Brandon simply dropped two passes. Tonight was all about the weather. Very little can truly be taken from this game.
I thought Rashad Jones had a great TD saving tackle. I feel like he looked good as a tackler and last line of defense, coverage was so so.
The weather was sloppy, and in a preseason game, that usually means sloppy football.... but like all of you, the drops from the starting WR's was not encouraging.
The Oline was pretty impressive, all the way through. I mean what was it the third team in when they did goal line, with Hillard punching it in with a great push from the line... I was surprise
The young defense looked extremely exciting and creating chaos; ie,turnovers... but also got burnt by plays. from guys being out of position...(expected in preseason)
I also agree, what were they trying to get Ronnie Hurt, playing that late in the game with such a sloppy field
I also agree, the TV work and announcers were horrible. I thought it was a middle school production, seriously. Did you see how bad and akward it was when Steve Ross and Mike Dee sat in with the announcers... Come on, that was horrible. We need some young ex dolphins players in the booth IMO.
It early and maybe too early to mention this ... butg we have come out of camp NOT READY to play for 3 years.
We just can't afford a slow start this year!
Bucs and everyone else has limited toime to gell too, but Sparano needs to tighten things up ... and and get this team ready to play quality ball ... soon

If a team like the Titans can go 0-6 and then have the season they had last year, losing one game that we are supposed to win isn't the end of a season. You never call a season over after week 1. Does it make the season more of an up hill climb? Yes. Does it spell the end of the entire football season after one loss? No. But hey, this is all conjecture and speculation. Let's just let it play out.
laugh, but making the playoffs in a DEEP AFC is hard enough as is. When you are losing games to one of the 2 or3 worst teams in the league (WITHOUT THEIR 2 BEST PLAYERS) and start off behind the 8 ball, it is an impossible hill to climb!!
just beat Buffalo without their two best players and its a non issue.
if you lose to maybe the worst team in the league without their 2 best players, its not about rebounding from a loss. There are more serious issues at hand that would need to be dealt with.
Oh man what a horrible, yet necessary win we just played.
Ronnie was in for so long to regain his confidence.
I think Paul Solia played better than Starks, of course second string line, but man he dominated.
Our linebackers did a solid job, our corners did a decent job, I mean the weather, going against a team desperate for win's to show promise, I think the team started reallllllllyyyy sssllllooooowwww, but the next game should be much improved.
I also think that Tristan Davis really sucked at returning.
Julius Pruitt showed some promise.
Our O-line did ok, wasnt too impressed to be honest.
Overall I think that this game was exactly what the docter ordered.
History has shown that results of the first game of the season is not an indicator of anything. Teams that go deep in the playoffs, even ones that have won it all, have lost to bad or mediocre teams in the first week.
I would like to see this team for once play well on week one. I remember under Shula week 1 was an automatic win. That is what happens when you give a great coach several months to prepare for his next game. But it really doesn't indicate how the team will fare over the long NFL season.

Shula also knew how to use our home field advantage to the best of our ability in the first couple months of the season!
