Not that it means anything, but hey, something to talk about.

Honestly, I'm surprised they have us this high - but they are still underestimating us winking smiley.

Patriots are ranked 9th - seems reasonable.

The Jets are somewhere 1-8. O V E R A T E D.

Pats at #9 are too high. Especially with no Welker. They might not be Top 15. They have fallen. Jets in Top 8 is realistic. Top defense and they can run the ball. Formula for success. Might not win it all, but Top 8 preseason is legit.

The latest reports have Welker starting week one. Brady, Moss, Welker, Belichick defense - #9 seems reasonable.

Run the ball? With who? LT is over the hill, he gets injured a lot, and isn't the player he once was when he is healthy. They have no one with any track record to back him.

No, its not legit.

Few are taking an honest look at the Jets offensive backfield. At running back they are one LT pulled hammy away from being a mess. Sanchez has a handful of good games but for the most part he was less than stellar. Add to that list very little depth on the O-line. Nothing about the Jets offense is "top ten".

Jets Defense may warrant them 10-20 but the offense will be their undoing.

Yes, the Jets are O V E R A T E D.

Did you watch the playoffs and see Shonn Green break records vs SD by running over them?

Why you hung up on LT? LT isn't the starter. LT took over the Leon Washington spot-back role!

You mean the San Diego defense that was ranked at the bottom third of the NFL in rushing defense and had injury problems at LB?

Seriously, one playoff game doesn't make the guy. He's got no track record. For most of last season, he carried the ball in a backup role on a team with another heavy hitter at RB.

Jets will run the ball. They have the line to do it no matter who is back there and Shonn Greene is capable enough with LT as a role player. Not as good as the duo of Jones and Washington but Greene averaged 5 ypc last year as a backup. The thing is they played some very bad rush defenses last year.

The question about the Jets is at QB. Will Sanchez be the next Trent Edwards or ????

New England has absolutely NO pass rush and very young and inexperienced starters in the secondary. They will give up many big plays. They only had 31 sacks last year (23rd place, Dolphins 3rd) and didn't get any better in the off season.

So by ranking the Jets in the Top 10 preseason, something EVERY NFL analyst on planet earth has done I am wrong?

Dude, grow up. Get back to reality. The Jets as of now are a Top 10 team. EVERYONE agrees. Even the Miami media agrees. Anybody who thinks that team isn't Top 10 right now is just fooling themselves...or just a fool.

And it can't be Miami's season but the Jets also be in the Top 10?? Do you actually read what you write?

Mike your drooling just as hard over Sexy Rexy, and his bunch of hairy wet's.

Sanchez is the reason why they won't be top ten, they have dissgruntled players wanting bigger pay checks, another reason why they will fail, and the biggest reason why is us!

They will not beat us this year. We just "TO STRONG, HOW STRONG TOO STRONG." WE ARE FLIPPERS!!!

Miami has the flippers, the greatest football team, they take the ball from goal to goal like Mikeos never seen. lol ohhhh Cmon mikey KEEP THE FAITH BROTHER!! Finaly got our elite wr, to go along with a even BETTER o-line, and yeahhhhhhh a awsome DC to add some swagger!!

Im so PUMPED, I MEAN COME ON THEY THINK WE SO GOOD THEY GAVE US TWO NUMBER 1'S. 11 YEAHHHHHHHH!!!!smileys with beer

I am the biggest Dolphin fan in the world, but that doesn't mean we can't say realistic opinions on this board.

I believe the Jets right now are a top 1 - 8 team. They've got everything you need, except for an experienced QB. Sanchez is the 'you're only as good as your weakest link' player and he is getting better every snap.

I don't know if you guys watched the Jets last year, but Shonn Green is for real. They've got 1 Superstar Cornerback and 1 Allstar level Cornerback. They've got Linebackers. they're a little short on D-ends... but they'll work that out because their HC is a defensive guru.

I think the Patriots' Defense isn't good enough to warrant them a top 10 ranking, but they're not far from it. Their offense will be good... again.

All I can say is that we beat the jets last year... TWICE! And we're better this year. Go Phins! I love being a Dolphin!

... I'm still saddened by having to play against Jason Taylor twice this year. sad smiley

You are 100% correct!!! BUT, Some on this board live in a fantasy world and can't have a rational football discussion.

This is where I have a lot of question marks. Because of these exact points I think its a little early to start saying Jets will be top ten., particularly when the jury is still out on the passing offense and the defense has had trouble against good running teams.

We'll see, but when I think Jets I think...
1. Great Pass D.
2. Average Run D.
3. Good - not great - Run O.
4. Suspect Pass O.

That is not top ten football.

man i used to love coming to this site to read up on some current dolphins news and information but any more you have to wade through 20 posts of fighting and arguements just to find one tiny nugget of reasonable information. Its getting rediculous.
