Harbaughs not going to lose his job. Trace Armstrong once went to the union on the Phins. I am surprised that anu Ravens complained I actually feel sorry fo the players once they are named.

Mizzou, but wasn't Trace the team's Union rep? That would make him the one filing the complaint anyway. What was his beef anyway? I know he had a bad back, maybe he felt he was being overworked in practice?

I dont think Harbaugh is going to lose his job, I just think it sounds like he is a coach who fears he is losing his teams' support or buying into what he is selling them, as far as putting in hardwork, being tough, going the extra effort, etc. When multiple players go to Union and complain about the coach before the first preseason game, That sounds like trouble in Maryland. What would you think if the report came out that the last few days of Parcell and Sparano's OTA's were cancelled becasue multiple players complained to the Union about being overworked and practice being to tough or physical......... They would be on the first plane out of town and off the team, that is not what you want with in your organization.
To have the rest of the OTA's cancelled by the NFL, something bad or a multitude of players were against whatever Harbaugh was doing or had done. I have never heard of the NFL forcing a team to cancell OTA's.

Im going to be going to the Mia/Baltimore game this year, because I live an hour away!!! WHOHOO it will be my FIRST REAL NOT PRESEASON GAME EVER!! I'm excited, and THEY WILL WIN, BECAUSE I WILL BE THERE TO ROOT EM ON!!!! FGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MIAMI!!!!! Baltimore, is a REALY REALY DIRTY, DISGUSTING, CRACK-HEADED RIDDLED city. If you never been there your not missing out on much, and the stadium "i played in the ravens marching bad back in 1999" While in high school, got to go to all home games for free, and march on the field, was awsome, field much smaller in person, also saw Barry Sanders play, we also looked at each other I was by my self waiting rest of band in the endzone seating, because of a foot injury, wore walking brace, anyway they where warming up he was stetching in End-zone, and he looked at me, i stared him down, and he shrugged ? And I didnt move, but was cool!! ANYWAY. The stadium sucks, and is right on the water front which is dirty.

Have fun Mia1, your football game cherry is precious, you'll remember it forever. Even if the locale is sub par.

I know Trace Armstrong at one point was actually the entire NFL's player Union rep.

Funny thing about Trace is he worked as the union's president for 8 years. Then when he lost the election for the big job of "Executive Director" of the union to DeMaurice Smith....... he became a Sports Agent!!!

Help set the rules on one side then go take advantage of them on the other. lol

In a "contract" year esentially for lack of a better term, you knew the union was going to pull out all of the stops and every little violation will be reported. This is only the begining.

It was interesting to read the comments of Demarcus Ware saying if you want an 18 game season, it means players careers will now become shorter. Meaning, PAY US MORE $$$$$$. Interesting to hear a player come out and say that and be so blunt about it.

I actually think the 18 game season might be a way for both sides to save face and this not lead to a lockout. The players don't necessarily take a pay cut, maybe they stay about where they are now, granted with 2 more meaningful games tacked on. The owners get a bigger chunk of revenue from having 2 more MEANINGFUL games played. Both sides can "spin" it and come out looking like winners. Players didn't lose anything in a bad economy. Owners increased revenues. Everyone is happy.

The funny things is, it was the players that lobbied hard for the NFL to get rid of some preseason games and make them count instead, they always complained that 4 preseason was BS. Now that the players got the NFL interested after all of these years of complaining about it, they flipped sides and act like they dont want it...that is funny... The owners are going to call BS on this, even though the players are acting like they dont want it now...

The players will take the extra 2 meaningful games if it means in some way more money in their pockets.

That is what the fight will be over.

Don't know how you work out an 18 game season and keep a balanced schedule though.
