Probably. The only thing I wonder about is that there still seems to be work done on the Wildcat. I was thinking with Marshall in town they might do away with that. If Pat were to shine in the Wild cat, who knows?

I just don't see the wildcat with Marshall. Why take your best offensive player out of it?

Check that - I see a possibility of using the wildcat a few times as more a gimmick than a staple, but not more than once or twice a game. And that would be with Ronnie, not White.

Besides, Pat didn't do a thing in the wildcat last year - so I just don't see why we'd use him in the role this year.

If Thigpen didn't fall into our lap, I could see us keeping Pat White, but we've got a solid #2. Time to move on from the Pat White experiment.

I agree with you, AND I hope your right as far as the number of times we use the wc.

I have to wonder what we can get for Pat White? One second rounder down the drain.

Marshall could be kept on the field in a wildcat formation and actually be thrown to out of it as well.

There is no reason why he'd have to come off of the field.

I am still intrigued by the possibilities with White. They had enough confidence in him last year to put him into the game and use him as the second quarterback. That says something. He really didn't get many opportunities so I don't think it was a large enough sample space to really judge his potential in the NFL. However, what he did in college was amazing. Simply put, he was one of the greatest college players ever. I went back and looked at the videos and find it hard to believe that he can't help us. I don't buy the fact that he is too fragile especially now that he has put on 18 pounds of muscle. The head shot he took would have knocked anyone out.

Then again I thought Tedd Ginn would turn into a good player.

Absolutely. People forget he's also a great run blocker!! The possibility of us throwing to him just gives the defense one more thing to worry about. I think Marshall would make the wildcat even better!

Remember folks. We can talk football all we want but if we really know what we were doing we would be scouting for our belovid Phins.
A couple of plays and a big hit on a rookie doesn't tell the story. Not saying that White is special. Just saying. We will know soon enough.

Got to trust that the pros we have now do know something.
Now the past guys... well screw themgrinning smiley

Pride is the only thing keeping Pat White on this team. Parcells pride that is.

First smart thing this FO has done with a marginal player . It is win-win, vs the antics with smiley.

Pumping up players increases trade value and has the upside of increasing the players confidence if you keep him.

I hate the antics of public put down and telegraphing trade plans - dumb
