Of course this is early and all in fun, but

IF Ronnie Brown can return to his own form AND stay health for a year,

IF Ricky Williams is NOT over used,

IF someone Clemons can play FS better than Wilson

and

IF Starks does OK at NT

I think we crack the top 5. I am can hardly wait to see R&R run against a front 7

I agree, POTENTIAL is there for Top 5. But a lot of that is on Henne's shoulders as well.

I LOVE what I see out of him in the small sample size we have, but that is a small sample size. If he is the player we think he is, then YES Top 5 is a fair prediction

I'm so glad to we're not debating whether we're 1 and 15 vs. 4 and 12. We are having REAL competition in many places. Holes? Sure. But we are getting better and better.

I was stunned when I watched the trifecta double down the first year because of so many holes, but now I see how it makes even the first round picks avoid complacency. Being ranked 10 is nice.

I don't see how Atlanta is Top 10 at all.

I agree, I dont see Atlanta in the top ten either. The defense is not good enough. I like Roddy White, Turner's numbers fell off hard last year, Gonzalez is good but getting long in the tooth, and Ryan had a bit of a sophmore slump compared to his rookie success. Atlanta could go either way up or down this coming season, but they defintely shouldnt be rated in top ten IMO

I liked Armando's article this weekend on the JETS are either over hyped or the Phins are being ignored, in reality neither team on paper appears much better then the other. I disagree in the fact that we are younger and only getting better, the Jets will have to rebuild in a year or two. Probably sooner after they fall way short of expectations this year! Either way I like Armando's story, and i dont say that often about Armando.

I have to agree with Mike O on Henne. To be more specific, if Henne can learn a good short to intermediate touch pass, it will be HUGE.

As Pennington says, a QB must take advantage of 3 dimensions. With giant NFL players, Henne must use a little bit of arc now and then.

If Henne improves even a little bit over last year, he will be one of the top QB's in the league. This kid has an arm on him that will put up big numbers. And with a REAL WR on our team now he will be able to put it on display

This is why we're keeping Pennington around. If he can help Henne with his touch, Henne could be a great QB. He has the arm strength, the intellect, and the intangible ability to not get rattled. All he needs is some (not a lot, but some) help with his short-medium range touch. That's Pennington's specialty!

It really makes me wonder if Marino would have been as good had he not had Strock as a mentor.

I think our Offense will be OK. Defense... that is another story. Until we get Furgy back, we're going to get run on. Until our Rookie Safties come up to speed, we're going to get passed. I see a rough start - good thing we've got the Jills and Jest early.
