Will he be on the opening day roster? I just don't see it - unless he is listed as a WR.

If Pennington starts on PUP (like expected) then White makes the team. If Pennington is healthy,.....White better have the training camp of his life!

If White hasn't bulked up in the offseason, then he's toast when Penny comes back. White's value will be as a utility guy (QB, WR, Rcool smiley, NOT as a fulltime QB. He won't be able to do that if he still looks like he's in highschool.

I'm not even sure I get him as a "Utility" player. He was not very good running the ball. He has zero accuracy passing. All he has is speed and what appears to be a bit of fearlessness (though who knows after that hit) and so the only place I can see him is at WR.

Wasn't it Thunder who thought he was going to be the greatest player ever in a Phins uni? Yea, Pat White may go down as one of our worst 2nd round picks ever.

Yeah, as a pure RB he's too small, but get him into the open field ala Eric Metcalf or Reggie Bush and he could do some damage.

He looked good in practice, but that didn't translate to games.

He's quick and elusive. Problem is, I don't know how fast he actually is straight ahead. If we didn't already have Bess, I'd say try Pat in the slot. Problem is he has a lot of other guys to go up against to win a roster spot. I think his background as QB could give him an advantage as a 3rd-down specialist, ala Jim Jensen.

Yeah, well, we all respect Thunder's opinion...NOT!

Monte, he looked TERRIBLE in practice. All we ever heard during training camp is stories about him hitting the golf cart parcells was riding in. I've never heard stories like that about any other QB. Then his first NFL pass he overthrows a WIDE open WR by about 15 yards. And it was all downhill from there....

Will go down as one of Jeff Ireland's biggest misses. On par with the CamMullar John Beck pick. I hated the PW pick the minute it happened.

He definitely didn't look like much last year, but they believed in him enough to keep him as the number 2 and develop him. He was very good in college so I am not ready to throw in the cards just yet. He is still a bit of a wildcard and I am hoping that the Dolphins still have something up their sleeve.
