I think it's odd that Mikeo get's suspended, then this false dude show's up. Odd isnt it. The question is why would someone do that? Time to bust out the "SECRET AGENT MAN" theme song.

I have no idea what your talking about. But all the MODS can see our IP's and they can see I'm only one person posting under one account from the same IP addres. And you don't have to take my word for it. Talk to ANY MOD here!!
I actually just watched the 73' Super Bowl the other day.
Boring game but it was great to watch us just run the ball down the throats of Redskins, then hit 2 deep play action passes that caught them totally of guard

You are exactly right. The Dolphins were so good in '73 (the next season) they were boring. Even though they lost a couple games. You could sit back and drink a beer and just watch them run up and down the field on everyone knowing they would win.
You think that SB game against the Redskins was boring? Have you seen the '74 SB against the Vikings? Total domination against a really good Viking team.
I have both those games on tape. Haven't watched in a while. Maybe I'll bring them out again.

The 73 team was indeed very dominating. The HL films from that year and the little bit of games that are out there from that season clearly show a very dominating run offense, and a very smart defense that could slow down and/or stop anyone.
Most NFL fans feel the pang of missing football starting in May, so it's a great time to roll out those old games to view to ease those pangs.
I say to this day if Csonka, Kick, and Warfield don't jump to the WFL....Miami would have been the dynasty of the 70's, not Pittsburgh. Miami would have at least 2 more Super Bowl trophies. And the Steelers dynasty would have never have happened!

Oh that again. Yeah heard that a million times.
Here's how I look at it:
We lost in the super bowl the season before, to Dallas.
That means we finished #2 in the league and therefore had the second hardest schedule going into 1972.
So if we had the second most difficult schedule, it's not our fault that the teams we played against ended up having sucky seasons.
that isn't a knock on Miami the schedule thing. But it did play part in going 14-0 at least.
Hey for a team to go 14-0 and NOT have a home playoff game is still amazing and so happy they changed that stupid rule. To win esentially 3 road playoff games in any era during any time is amazing

Yeah that was something....going undefeated during regular season, nearly blowing it vs. Mike Phipps and the Browns, then having to go on the road for the AFC championship vs. the Steelers!
I'll never forget Seiple faking the punt on his own instinct and running up the field for dozens and dozens of yards vs. the Steelers. I was jumping up and down so much I was expecting my head to hit the ceiling....and I was much shorter back then! Then Shula having the balls to pull Morrall at halftime and put in an uncertain Griese who just was recovering from his injury.
THEN being underdogs in the superbowl while being undefeated!
Nobody outside of our fan base thought we could do it. The oddsmakers reflect the true opinion of the fans. I wish I would have been old enough to gamble back then, I'd have made some money!
I know we are all Dolfans and I'm beating a dead horse, but that '72 season was only the start of the really great team. Proves just how difficult it is to go undefeated.
Yes there were only 2 teams over .500 that Miami played. How many times has that happend and teams still lose a few?
Many of the teams Miami played were really good even with a bad record.
Jets were 7-7. Had many injurys that set them back but still gave good teams a run. Monday night game against Oakland, Namath threw for over 400 yards and nearly brought them back to win. Madden went to the Jets locker room to congradulate Namath. Big headlines about that.
Oh well, can hardly wait for the season. Time to turn it all around!!
