my grade was B. Dragged down from A by some bad high picks--White, Murphy, Turner.

We obtained starters at positions of need and we able to build depth at the same time. A handful of the players seem to be long-term keepers as roll players if not superstars. That is pretty good in my book.

Especially when you look at 2007, and the best pick was our punter. The only other player remaining on the team is an underachieving DT, who will likely never get playing time at a position of dire need unless we are devestated by injury.

Agree with the B grade, recent prior years were poor

01-03 is pitiful the only player remaining is Bell, and WTF 02 5 picks starting in round 3?! No wonder we sucked so bad!

2009 draft is a B but still incomplete (as Berkeley 223 pointed out due to Turner/White)

2008 draft B+/A-

Just looking at this list of Dolphin drafts it seems like 1 year after the draft you get a good idea of how it shaped up. 2 years you know for sure.

Long, Davis, Henne, Smith, Merling, Langford, Hilliard, Hartline..6 starters, and 2 solid backups...that's not bad!

Thomas, Turner, Clemons, Folsom, Parmele, White..these guys are on-the-bubble. The jury is still out, but I see at least 2 of these guys hanging on as backups or starters (Thomas and Clemons).

That's 14 players (although I only tentatively mention White) that have hung on in the last 2 years, and more than half have gotten significant playing time.

Solid B+.

I still think it's funny how the 2nd DE, RB, G, and WR drafted those years beat out the first one!

From 07 back, other than 05, our drafts were horrible!

It just goes to show you, it all starts upstairs in the FO.

Boy was Mueller over-rated!

The 3 most important positions on any football team are Head Coach, Quarterback, and Left Tackle. In 2008 we added Sparano, Henne, Long. Henne and Long I am confident in. Very much so as being future superstars. If Sparano turns into a solid head coach (jury is still out for me on that one, not sure yet after 2 seasons) that is one of the best offseasons this league has seen in a very very VERY long time!!
