All I wanted to really say was that I wouldn't condemn a mans life dream due to one instance of poor decision making. Anything past that and I don't want anything to do with this entire "MY DAD CAN BEAT UP YOUR DADS LAWYER" conversation.

Seriously, stop.

Mike, here is the deal...if you touch someone and they don't want you to touch them...it's a crime. The guy that got touched obviously didn't like the touch so he puched him for it...

Both of those actions would be crimes...if either one of the persons wanted to pursue charges. Is that rediculous in the context of a physical sport such as football....yes, absolutely! But, it's still a crime as far as the law is concerned so your blanket statement that it isn't a crime is therefore false.

Good discussion, now back to real football stuff.

So sad that society is that way now a days. I remember my pops telling me stories from back in the day when if you had a problem with someone you'd simply handle it out back, without fear of guns, knives, or police coming into the picture. That was usually the end of the problem and everyone went about their lives. Hell, just go back and watch Porky's. Great movie by the way drinking smiley

Howard Stern owns the rights to the re-make of Porky's.

Said he hasn't found a script he likes. And if he never does he won't ever remake it and ruin the originals legacy

Yea, remaking Porkys....hmmm. All I can say is don't screw it up. One of the foundations of early american comedic cinema.

He has had the rights for over 10 years, still nothing.

Dont' see it ever being made.

Knowing Stern, he probably bought the rights because it's one of his favs and he doesn't want it remade. That's a stretch of a hunch though.

no he has said many times he loves the movie and is one of the reasons he bought it.

He wants to remake it but can't find the right script. And instead of putting out a piece of crap and getting ripped in the press over it, he will just own the rights and do nothing if thats how it ends up

RESPONSE: Not really because apparently Blount was projected, prior to the start of the season, as a somewhat high RB pick.

Now that he is an undrafted free agent, he becomes a consideration.

(Again, I say the baggage is too high but the assault incident was overreacted to.)

That moron Blount signed with SF. Yes, SF with Frank Gore, 2nd round pick from last year Glenn Coffee who was good last year. Michael Robinson who they use in short yardage. And the 49ers then drafted Anthony Dixon in Rd 6 out of Miss St Saturday.

Blount will be in the CFL or serving french fries and Big Mac's by late August!

RESPONSE: berkeley, MikeO's real anger is coming from his trying to correct my facts when I said Blount was not the instigator in the famous punching incident. I said he was swung on or hit first.

To refute me, MikeO posted a video that shows the guy jabbed Blount in the chest which, for some odd reason, MikeO did not see until I pointed it out to him. Needless to say, that's very embarrassing. I've never seen a guy post a video that contradicted himself on the facts. Since then, MikeO has taken it out on Blount.

Yes, S.F. signed Blount and I think it was a bad move. Not because he slugged a guy who pushed him in the chest. But because he was sanctioned by his college team for being lazy in practice and refusing to do reps and he was suspended by the team for another incident which the school refused to disclose.

Moreover, after that scrape involving the push in the chest, no only did he retaliate against the player but went completely nuts by challenging people in the stands.

I think the niners signed him as an FA, joique Bell or Andre Dixon would be worth a workout

Julius Jones may be the odd man out in Seattle as they added Ganther, Washington & lendale white to go with Forsett.

His punch cost him

This is how you spent your Sunday afternoon. Writing short stories attacking me. WOW.

Dude, you can spin thsi anyway you want. Blount punched the kid. And you think all of that is "justified" because the Boise player lightly tapped his shoulder to get his attention. You have LOST YOUR MIND if you are justifyiing Blount's action. AND you might be the only person in america still doing so!

YOU said he took at swing at Blount. Anything but the truth. You flipped-flopped on this just to get into an "internet war" because you must be bored this weekend

MikeO Wrote:

RESPONSE: Short stories? Fiction. All people who can read have to do is go back and look at the beginning of this thread and see that you stepped out to correct me and were wrong.

Dude, you can spin thsi anyway you want. Blount punched the kid. And you think all of that is "justified"

RESPONSE: Nobody said it was justified. In fact, I said that people get Technicals in basketball all the time for retaliation but you said that the guy neither swung at nor hit Blount and your own video showed you were wrong. I notice you are not asking people to view the video to prove your point but it was YOUR VIDEO.

because the Boise player lightly tapped his shoulder to get his attention.

RESPONSE: Did I miss something? Were these old high school buddies...were they ole friends. The guy just "lightly tapped his shoulder to get his attention," if this is the kind of logic that the People on this board want to support then I have grossly underestimated the intelligence of my fellow posters.

You could have ended this ages ago by just saying "Okay, but Blount overreacted."

You are still here claiming Blount was the only person who did anything wrong.

Duke won the semi-finals against Baylor because a Baylor player, in the last two minutes, did one of those "I'm gonna walk by you and accidentally on purpose brush up against you with my shoulder."

The Baylor guy got a technical that foreclosed any chance of Baylor making a comeback.

This guy pushes Blount in the chest and you try to act like it was "just to get his attention."

>You have LOST YOUR MIND if you are justifyiing Blount's action. AND >you might be the only person in america still doing so!

RESPONSE: That's right keep the focus off the facts and on some attempt to put me on the same side as Blount. That what cheap politicians do when they have nothing intelligent to offer in debate, they try to tie their opponents to what they perceive to be unpopular causes.

>YOU said he took at swing at Blount. Anything but the truth. You >flipped-flopped on this just to get into an "internet war" because you >must be bored this weekend

RESPONSE: In your mind is taking a swing at someone WORSE THAN ACTUALLY PUSHING HIM AND MAKING CONTACT??????????

You know, MikeO, when you wrote in another post that pushing someone was "not a crime" and you got jumped on for it by another poster on the grounds that legally it was... I cut you some slack. I figured that you were just engaging in a "figure of speech" by saying that it wasn't the crime of the century.

But now I see that the other poster had you right. You actually believe that swinging at someone is worse than hitting them.

Not everybody needs to know the law like a lawyer but you have a serious lack of understanding.

Don't take any action without consulting your relatives...even those in elementary school....Your understanding of the law is way below normal.
