Pats just signed EX-Gator and former 1st round pick Gerard Warren to play on their d-line

RESPONSE: You can say that about every college draft pick.

NO. Some players have skills that translate to the NFL game. The ones who don't and start pointing to their college resume, those are the ones who are in trouble.

If you don't have the measurables, its tough to make the jump to the next level. As a foundation you need the size and/or speed!!

Tell that to Zach Thomas, while you defend the great number of linebackers we took on another post.

There are always exceptions to the rule. Zach, Tom Brady.... that isn't a way to run a succesful team though

Don't forget nose tackles, they generally take a few years to develop, too.

What are these comments in reference to? They don't seem to relate to any of the topics discussed on this thread.

Ok redid my grades to include the entire draft. Post your opinions up, what grades do you give us and everyone else in our division?

I am not sure I am sold on Spikes. He is dirt slow for a linebacker. He probably benefited from having a great team around him. How does a guy like him cover an NFL player. Has there been a successful linebacker who was that slow?

However, I am convinced that the Patriots took Hernandez to screw with us. I think the TE run is the run Ireland was talking about.

Can you imagine Spikes covering someone like Dallas Clark? Turtle, meet hare.

Kiper gave us a C- and claims were reached for many of our picks.

I used to have a lot of respect for Mel. I valued his opinions. That was before the 2010 draft on ESPN. When the first five picks were done, Mel looked confident things were going to go the way he predicted, at least as much as usual in previous years. Then the picks started to come in, and he lost composure. He didn't know what the f$ck he was talking about. He was totally lost in his picks, and didn't know why teams were picking what they were. He claimed these teams were making mistakes, reaching, or just didn't know the player. Total excuses for his inability to project the draft. I'm not a fan anymore, nor do I care what he think about how our draft went. People on other websites like PFT and Walter say we had a very good draft, finding value in later rounds, like the safety we picked up in the fifth.

Draft grades are, at this point, TOTALLY useless. Let's see these guys on the field.

I give everyone an INC until the final 53 man rosters are filled out.

Then you can give early grades on the draft
