So..why would we want a guy with bad knees coming out of college? It doesn't matter how talented he is if he's not on the field.

Because at some point he becomes value. Even if you only get 2 or 3 years of production out of him before his knee fails and he is done. it's 2 or 3 years.

We have used 2nd round picks on Pat White, AJ Feeley, Eddie More...they gave us NO YEARS of production. So why not use a 2nd rounder on a couple years of production. Granted the goal is using the pick on a 10 year vet who will play at a high level for a long time. BUT, if that guy isn't there on your board, rolling the dice on an "injury risk" guy like Kindel is a fallback option
