so accd to espn here are the best still on the board. Who do you want? I'd be happy with Kindle but he won't make it that far, or mt cody or nate allen. kinda bummed we didn't get hughes--there really are no top pass rushing lbs left and not any great fs either. we could take cody but 2 picks on the DL when we need fs and old help doesnt mae sense.
Sergio Kindle OLB 6'2?" 250 Texas
Charles Brown OT 6'5?" 303 USC
Daryl Washington OLB 6'1¾" 230 TCU
Rodger Saffold OT 6'4?" 316 Indiana
Taylor Mays S 6'3?" 203 USC
Jimmy Clausen QB 6'2?" 222 Notre Dame
Lamarr Houston DT 6'2¾" 305 Texas
Everson Griffen DE 6'3?" 273 USC
Arrelious Benn WR 6'1" 219 Illinois
Brian Price DT 6'1?" 303 UCLA
Chris Cook CB 6'2" 212 Virginia
Carlos Dunlap DE 6'5¾" 277 Florida
Sean Lee ILB 6'2?" 236 Penn State
Colt McCoy QB 6'1?" 216 Texas
Jon Asamoah OG 6'4" 305 Illinois
Nate Allen S 6'0½" 207 South Florida
Terrence Cody DT 6'3?" 354 Alabama
Rob Gronkowski TE 6'6¼" 264 Arizona
Vladimir Ducasse OG 6'4?" 332 Massachusetts
Golden Tate WR 5'10¼" 199 Notre Dame
Linval Joseph DT 6'4½" 328 East Carolina
Brandon Spikes ILB 6'2?" 249 Florida
Navorro Bowman OLB 6'0½" 242 Penn State
As for a good pick @ 40, T. Cody, R. Gronkowski, Kindle, even possibly the much maligned Bradon Spikes(if Crowder may be on the chop block) are all good choices that could help us out immediately.
So basically we have two choices in that regard(OLB./), we can draft someone tomorrow that can play immediately(somewhat likely), or get someone in FA after the draft is over(likely). Point being, what's left in the FA market at that position that would fit into our 3-4 scheme that doesn't yell stop gap. Don't want a stop gap at that important position, or our weak top secondary(FS) will be exposed all season.

not per the value chart, which is more reliable once you move past the first round since salary is not a factor.
#40 plus our 5 and highest 6 = 556. which takes you to the 2d or 3d pick in round 2.
* originally meant to say 5th and 6th not 6th and 7th--so you are right mikeo, but I still would be ok with moving up using the 5 and 6

My vote would be for Everson Griffen. I think we have our NT in Odrick. Get ready for another shocker in round 2....TE maybe? Gronkowski or Graham? Nate Allen?

Odrick fits along the lines of Jason Ferguson and Jay Ratliff. It also depends on what you want your NT to do. Dallas and Pittsburgh use their NT as one gap players, not the traditional 2 gap NT. And we also don't know where they are playing Odrick, so it's hard to say what prototype he needs to fall into. However, we do know that Parcells likes big LB, especially on the outside, with good length being key. The Parcells' Prototypes are one reason why we work from a smaller draft board than many teams. Because they cross off the guys who don't fit. I bet whatever OLB we take, he's going to be at least 6'3 and 240+ pounds.
