Just heard Michael Lombardi say on a radio show that the Pats might move up in Rd 1 to grab Dez Bryant. Wes Welker is out for the start of next season. And I think he said Randy is in the final year of his deal, either way he is old nontheless. With three 2nd round picks NE has chips to move up.
If Denver doesn't take Dez at 11, I don't see Dez getting past Seattle at 14. Putting Miami in a prime spot to maybe make a deal with NE to get one of their 2nd round picks and move down.
hey NE has had a lot of misses in the draft of late, I'm not worried.
I'm also not a guy who cares about trading within the division. Not that big of a deal, people make too much over that stuff. I believe in worrying about yourself. It's hard enough to build your own team, can't try and build someone elses as well.
they've got so many picks that move makes sense. question is, if they are going to trade up to get him anyway, it might as well be with us, since either way we gotta play him 2x year
They might have to trade with Jax to get ahead of Denver at 11, but if Jax doesn't move down then they might have to make a move with us IF Denver doesn't take him
I'm taking Philly's deal and holding my nose and praying that the guy I want a 22 is there at 24!
Remember, New England traded DREW BLEDSOE to Buffalo not that long ago. Trading in the division is overrated. If the best deal is from a division rival, take the deal! Philly did with McNabb and look how bad they ripped Washington off!
We are good at WR we have potential issues at RB. matthews would be great at 22 or 24 trade down, 30 lbs heavier than Spiller. We need to backs or 1 & barber. We don't know what Ronnie or Cobbs will give us
With all the talk of trading within the division...let me ask you guys this...
How would you feel about trading Ronnie Brown to NE for a 2nd round pick?
I would hate to see our DB's have to tackle him 2 games a year but a second pick would yield some fresh talent without the continual injury worries....????

The trade chart is completely outdated. Toss that thing.
New England has too many holes to be trading away their draft picks. They have needs at Oline, TE, WR, RB, LB, DB...
Do you really see Belichick trading away high draft picks when he has a history of making the most out of each draft pick?
Plus when one of these "experts" make a claim like this, they're trying to grab attention. They have nothing to lose by making these kinds of predictions.
We'll see what happens in two days and I can promise that, much like every single year of the draft, something will happen and people will react "well I didn't see that coming".

Anyone that knows me knows that I'm all about Defense and the OL. But I got to agree with Mike on this. If he is available, draft Dez at 12. If not then maybe trade down. That really would set us straight on Offense for a long time. That is of coarse if Dez and Marshall keep it together.
too many holes to take dez. also what if dez busts, then it is a wasted pick on a position we dont really need. there is no reason to believe henne is going to be manning or brees so why would miami invest that many resources to become a team like that. one great wide out with some other good ones and a strong running game needs to be the blueprint unless henne shows he can lead an elite passing game and all the pressure that comes with that. there is little evidence that henne has the potential to become a top 3 qb in the league. the offense would revolve around two troubled wideouts, one unproven, and a second year qb with questions about his potential? this doesnt seem like a smart use of resources. better to build the defense that gave away games in the fourth quarter too many times last season.
also patriots just signed torry holt. holt doesnt scare anyone anymore tho.
