He can play he played on an absolutely atrocious defensive team last year and had over 100 tackles he had absolutely no help on that defensive line he was double teamed on practically every play
Is he better than JT right now no trade down, and acquire more picks. I don't want a few great picks. I would rather have many good picks. The draft is a crap shoot the more picks the more hits, and misses.
You win Super Bowls with GREAT players. We need GREAT players on defense and as many as possible.
Stay at 12 and draft a GREAT defensive player! Or draft another GREAT WR (Dez) and lets have a top level offense on par with the Saints, Colts. Chargers...etc.
One great player dosen't always work either was their a greater player than Dan Marino for this franchise. What did that get him. As great as he was unfortunately. He could not win the the big game. I agree you need great players, but you need luck, health, chemistry, scheduling just to name a few variables. I always have said you have a better chance to win with great players, but it dosent always work out.

If we truly feel we have a lock at #12, then, yes, pick him. But a large list of GREAT defensive players were NOT drafted in the top-half of the 1st round. Ray Lewis (26) and Zach Thomas (154), arguably the 2 best ILBs of the modern era, come to mind. Look at Tedd Ginn and you can see how much of a crap-shoot the draft can be.
I don't think he's the pick. Gil Brandt says he's spoken to Parcells this week, and that he knows who the pick is, and that the pick may come as a surprise. Morgan would not be a surprise by any stretch of the imagination. He seems like a perfect fit on the strong side, so I can see why this scout is so sure he's the pick. But, like Vontae Davis last year, I think Parcells and Ireland will do something unexpected by the masses.

I am sorry about the numbers I made a mistake point being I am a GT fan I have watched the young man play for the last few years and all I am going to say is he can play trust me or not clips on a highlight video do not tell the whole story.
If we don't trade down this could be it, however I've been feeling a trade down, that I cannot shake. Don't think this is going to happen. These ARE the same REPORTERS who flaked out BAD ON US not going to get Marshall blah blah....
