Think the Tri would take a little less value then the trade chart calls for to re-coop some 2nd day picks? If the chart called for us to get back a late rnd #2 and we were offered a mid #3, I would take it just because we have so many holes to fill.
We need starters so I would trade from later rounds to move up and take as many top 100 players as I could. We still have 9 picks and are going to deal at least one out of Smiley, Brown, Thigpen and Ginn....most likely Smiley.
Ronnie Brown has to sign his tender before he can be traded. You can't trade a guy who hasn't signed his tender. So until he does he ain't going anywhere either
The only prediction I'll make is that the Phins resign JT and draft a FS in the first round.
On a side note I am going to the draft. A buddy of mine called last night and told me. Never been to one so I am pretty excited. I'll be the "inside guy" on draft day. Will be posting from my Iphone.
You can't trade a player who isn't signed in some way shape or form. Welker was different. Welker signed with New England with a poisin pill in the contract. Miami had a week to match the offer. New England wanted him so bad they worked out a deal with Miami to insure Miami wouldn't match the deal. Hence, it was a trade, but Welker was signed with New England.
You can't trade a player that isn't signed to a team. Ronnie Brown hasn't signed his RFA. He isn't a member of the Miami Dolphins. THEY CAN"T TRADE HIM UNTIL HE SIGNS IT!!!!!!!
I think your wrong. The reason Jason Campbell signed his RFA was because he wants Washington to trade him. He couldn't be traded until he signed it.
Same way Leon Washington was thought to be part of the Holmes deal the other day, but since he didn't sign his RFA (until today) he couldn't be traded earlier this week.
I am almost positive your wrong, but I'm not gonna fight you over this.
You can't trade guys who haven't signed their RFA's. That's the rule. I don't have a link to an NFL rule book or anything. SO I can't link it. Listen to SIRIUS NFL Radio for a few hours, this topic seems to come up every few hours on that station. lol
This is eactly what happened in the Welker deal. Many are still angry about this deal, but they don't understand it. We really didn't have a choice. We made out pretty well, all things considered. He really wasn't worth a first-round tender.
