POLL: Would You Trade Ronnie......

Poll
Would you trade Ronnie Brown for a 2nd round pick then turn around and trade a 4th rounder (or so) for Marion Baber?

No, keep Ronnie I don't want Barber 9

Lots of rumors out there that Dallas wants to move Barber for a draft pick. They have too many Running Backs on their roster. Dallas blogger has even linked him to Miami in talks.

I'm guessing it wouldn't take more than a 4th to add him. Would you move Ronnie for a 2nd round pick, send him to San Diego or something. Then turn around and give up a 4th or 5th round pick for Barber?

Lets Miami add another 2nd round pick and Ronnie and Barber isn't much of a drop-off if any really.

If we can get a second round pick, I say show Ronnie the door. I like him but he's not shown any durability where Barber has.

That said...if Sparano and co. still want to run the wildcat, Ronnie has to stay.

That was a rumor, but not what this poll question is

I'd be ok doing this even without the Barber trade. If we can get a 2nd rounder for Ronnie now, I'd take it. He's damaged goods, and we have no idea how many games he'll be healthy for in the future.

I wouldn't be too upset if we did that. BUT then we would have to waste a high round pick on a RB to replace Ronnie. Which I would rather put off doing for a year with all the other holes we currently have

I'm probably a sucker for what I perceive to be Ronnie's value to the Phins based upon his versatility, but I would not trade him for a 2nd UNLESS I didn't think that I'd re-sign him after 2010. If it's a 2nd rounder for just one more year of projected production, then I seriously consider it. However, I don't think I'd necessarily pull the trigger on a pick in the bottom quarter of the 2nd round (SD). That's just too close to being a 3rd rounder, IMO.

Other than the durability question, I see that swap as a downgrade in talent.

It's a wash if you work in the fact that we still have Ricky and Ronnie will probably get injured for part of the year anyway.

but it might be a slight downgrade and the addition of a 2nd round pick think is huge.

Let me get this we get Barber and a second for Ronnie? There is the door, I'd do it in a heart beat.

Ronnie's tender for this year is $3.9M. Barber is due $7.8M this season. Neither guy is realistically tradeable, especially Barber. May as well just wait until Dallas releases him so they don't have to pay his $4M roster bonus.

No he's saying send Ronnie somewhere else for a 2nd, then get Barber for a 4th......neither one seems likely though.

Move him while we can get something and draft Spiller, Matthews, best Gerhart hardesty or even Ben Tate

Brown is our biggest offensive weapon. We can't move him unless you're looking to retool the offense.

i dono why everyone is so excited about getting one of these unproven boners (spiller, Gerhart) in the draft when we can just keep someone who is far better than both of them and use our high draft picks on bigger needs
