If you are gonna correct people's spelling you might want to work on your own grammar first. moody smiley

If we draft McClain and then move Dansby to OLB that would be pretty stupid.

We just made Dansby the highest paid LB in all of football for his play as an MLB in a 3-4 defense. To pay him a boatload of money and then SWITCH his position would be pretty friggin stupid!!

It's not really that stupid. Karlos Dansby has a large body of work in the Outside LB position. The Dolphins coaches will review the game tape and play him in his best position. Money has nothing to do with it...even though he is making Outside LB money.

Is it out of the question that McClain could be played outside? We are a team that played the slow as a sloth Matt Roth at OLB, and experimented with the 290lb Vonnie Holliday as an OLB. Why not McClain?

It would be a heck of a lot to pay for a SOLB, considering he didn't play that position in college. I wouldn't be in favor of moving him. If we DO draft McClain, we better have a plan. The best one I can come up with is trading Crowder.

Money has EVERYTHING to do with it!!! When you pay out the kind of money they just paid out to Dansby, trust me....money plays a factor in playing time, position, and everything under the sun!!

i think it would be #1 , but crowders play sucks and having a rookie next to him , wont help much
having dansby there next to him may help?

thats why i feel ,d morgan or b graham ,j hughes will be the guys we go after???

He played outside in a 4-3. OLB in a 4-3 is a completely different position from OLB in a 3-4. I stated that in my original post

IN A 4-3 DEFENSE. Crowder is not a 3-4 OLB. Chances of us getting McC are slim.

I'm wondering, though, if Denver takes Dez Bryant and McClain drops to #12, maybe this will be our best chance to trade down. There's got to be someone after us that wants him. Really good ILBs are hard to come by.

Or what if it goes like this???

1 STLconfused smileyam Bradford
2 Detroit: Ndamukong Suh
3 Tampa: Gerald McCoy
4 Was: Russell Okung
5 KC: Bryan Bulaga
6 Sea: CJ Spiller
7 Cle: Dez Bryant
8 Oak: Trent Williams
9 Buf: Anthony Davis
10 Jax: Joe Haden
11 Den: Rolando McClain

Look who has dropped....Eric Berry....could happen... I know, I know....Berry will never drop that far.

We then have a choice between ET, Berry, Morgan, Williams.

Finding a MLB to play next to an elite talent like Dansby won't be tough. If Crowder breaks down, replacing him won't be tough. Not worth using the #12 overall pick on a guy who is a system player anyway.
