I disagree I hope we do take Spiller at #12 its time to get some all pro talent in the org. Plus Ricky & Ronnie are UFA next year.

I didn't realize we had a bunch of Pop Warner rejects right now. RBs will be available as free agents, not to mention we have Cobbs and Hilliard. We don't need a super RB. We need to build up the defense and give Henne more weapons (WR, TE). This isn't Wanny's team anymore.

Mizzou gets the point. We will be AWFUL at RB next year. Yeah, you MIGHT get a great running back in the later rounds....MIGHT... but anybody who has been watching pro football since the fall of 1967 as an avid fan or since 1956 when playing midget football in the Jim Brown days, knows.....You got to get your QBs, RBs and WRs high. Now if you say there's a better crop out next year, that's legit. But to say, oh, we can pass on that any settle for the best of a mediocre crop of linebackers and Defensive linemen, then no. No. No. No.

So we replace our 235 lb RB because he's injury prone with a 196 lb back with turf toe????? OK...that makes sense.

awful at RB next year? Let's get through this year first...eye rolling smiley

And who says we don't re-sign Ronnie Brown and he is our #1 RB for the next few years.

Teams have stopped drafting RB's high since the Reggie Bush, Darren McFadden busts (for where they were picked). Unless its an Adrian Peterson type of talent, you will see fewer RB's go in Rd 1.

Mikeo, I never thought you were as stupid as people claim you are but when I say next year, everybody knows we're talking about 2010-2011, not 2011-2012 so why are you rolling your eyes.

Well, we'll see who is the dummy next SEASON (Mikeo) when they pick or don't pick an RB.

The question is not what we need most but what do we get at what spot.

Now, if you say we trade out to get more picks, I think that's the wrong decision but an argument can be made for it.

But it is lunacy to pick a linebacker with the 12th pick because there is not one that justifies that high a pick and you do have an urgent need at RB.

If you still see Ricky as a young pup and see Ronnie with the invulnerability of Superman, then I need to buy you some VISINE!

We're going to pick a DB at 12. Not a LB.

Response: The "dummy" comment was not meant for you, Mikeo. I capitalize SEASON and put your name in parenthesis so that you would not again confuse that I was talking about 2011-2012 instead of 2010-2011.

Unless you think that next SEASON refers to 2011-2012.
