they don't normally take Bell off the field he moves up to basically moves up near the lone of scrimmage and plays a defacto LB. He still has the range to play FS IMO
Excuses are tools of the incompetent...those who specialize in them rarely specialize in anythine else
Moving Bell to FS would be a huge mistake. I've seen too many times coaches putting guys out of position, and the players have terrible seasons. Remember Porter's first year in Miami at SOLB? The following year he moved to WOLB (when JT left for Washington) and had his best season for us.

Im not saying moving Bell to FS is the smart move, but its a possibility to keep open. And he can't be worse than Wilson. Doesn't make him good at FS, but he can't be worse than Wilson.
The only talk of moving Bell to FS was on this board, not from anyone within the Dolphins. And the idea made no sense. Wilson was a FS in NY, playing the position for several years. Bell has always been a SS. You were not going to move Wilson to SS, a position where he has less experience, and then move Bell to FS, a position where he has no experience.

You actually think there was debate over whether to keep Wilson? Not a chance. They knew they were cutting him as soon as it didn't count against the 2009 cap.
there was a debate. there always is a debate. you don't eat that kind of money without talking over every possible. this isnt' monoply money they are dealing with
