well, a fullback (PAyton Hillis) and 2 picks in 2011 (not even this year)--a 6th and a conditional pick

so the answer to should we have taken Quinn or Ginn? Patrick Willis.

I still wonder, if we would have taken Brady, who would we have picked up in the 2nd round? It's not like Beck has done anything for us. In fact, we got less for him than the Browns got for Brady! We might have been better off drafting Brady after all!

Well, then we'd be in the same boat as now, but Ginn would have a smaller contract.

This guy is an expensive bust. We did much better on Ginn Jr., though that's not saying much.

I was kidding, but seriously think about what a different course our team would of been on. We still would of needed a Rec so who knows who we would of gotten, would we still of traded Chambers when we did? Would this current regime of drafted Henne? Alot of if's but who knows

After watching those highlights calling Hillis a nothing is an insult to all NFL fans who like hard nosed give it their all old fashion football players of which Hillis definately is one of in these current times.

yeah peyton hillis did a great job when he started his 2 or 3 games for denver but so did Mike Bell, Mike Anderson, Olandis Gary, Tatum Bell, Cecil Sapp, Ron Dayne, Reuben Droughns, you can just about name any running back who played in denver, and at some point he did really good, denver just knows how to work running backs and get maximum play out of them then they trade them off and the back flops, with a minor exception of Clinton Portis who has done alright with the 'skins.

Hang in there with Ted Ginn, Jr. He'll be okay.

It's not about knowing how to work the backs it's knowing how to work the offensive line. Denver has been noted for good OLs. Also noted for dirty OL play but that is another subject.

If you notice, Shanahan liked small, quick linemen. However after their SB days he kept going with small quick linemen. They look real good against mediocre teams. Or good in the first half, then they tire out.
The backs always got good yardage as a result but few were really good backs. The new coach is bringing in big linemen.
Just my two cents.
Now if the trifecta keeps building our OL...

The ONLY 2 backs Denver has had in the past 13 years are Terrell Davis and Clinton Portis. Every other back has been a product of their system.

Davis put up huge numbers and would have been good anywhere. And Portis has been good elsewhere. Other than that those other guys are marginal players who were products of the Denver system

Well yeah, i guess more or less what i was trying to say is they were a product of a system, be it maximizing there skill set or utilizing the linemen, either way the point is they dominate in denver then flop anywhere else
