This guy has some on the field (and some off the field) rap sheet.

He makes former player Alex Karras look like an alter boy

Karras WAS a comparitive altarboy compared to some of the thugs in the NFL now. All he did was get caught along with HOF'er Paul Hornung gambling on a playoff game in which neither of their teams were participating. He also owned a partial stake in a bar in Detroit that Commissioner Pete Rozelle claimed was frequented by organized crime types, but he wasn't implicated in any way in their activities. He was coerced into divesting himself of that holding.
Please stop coming up with silly and pointless comparisons that you think nobody will understand, because somebody always does.

"This guy has some on the field (and some off the field) rap sheet." - really? He had NO "rap sheet". This statement is at least ambiguous, and at worst disinguenuous. "He was voted by everyone in his era as the dirtiest player to ever play the game."-really? how, exactly did they vote for that? By using their predecessor's stories?
I'm curious to know why you chose to go back as far as Karras. There have been many dirtier players since Karras retired. See CONRAD DOBLER-the quintessential dirty player.

Players that play with emotion and often out-of-control on the field CAN be reined in by the right coach, but I question Incognito's coachability.

Man your really overreacting to this. He was voted "dirtiest player" by publications in his era. Just like publications in this era just voted this guy dirtiest player. Also ever watch NFL Films? Or NFL Network? They actually do pieces and stories about football in teh 60's and such and this has been on numerous different shows, and has been brought up in various shows.

It was just an example I used, really....lighten up and get over it.

If we get him, better be ready for some Cox like flags flying around. Not that i'm totally against it though, maybe the trifecta can harness his emotions

If he makes this team better I will put up with the flags on the field every now and then

If he goes after coaches on the sidelines like he did in St.Louis, then thats another issue and he isn't worth the headache

Agreed Mike, just heard on NFL radio he almost cost the Rams a game when they were getting ready for a 30yardish FG with like 15 secs. left and he starting jawing with a ref and drew a 15 yarder, their kicker nailed it but he almost blew it for em.

his type of nasty-ness will rub off on other offensive players. Which for us is a good thing since our offense isn't all that great.

If you don't want to be called on it, don't make a foolish statement.

it's not a foolish statement.I compared a dirty player from this era to a dirty player from a past era.

You are bringing up gambling and off the field stuff for some unkown reason and overreacted to this for some unkown reason.

It was a simple comparison that gave you a bug up your ass, which NOBODY HERE can understand. But whatever, have a good dayeye rolling smiley

Incognito also has offers from Cincy and Indy, so we're not his only suitor.
