Can Coles be a lower priced solution? Is he better than what we have?

Nate Burleson is another that is productive when healthy

Could Torbor, langford or Anderson & 4th get us Boldin?

there will be a lot of lineman and LB's availabe in later rounds and they have been that impressive

We passed on Coles last year when Penningtonw as our starter and he was Coles best friend. I can't see us going after him.

Burleson I love....but I don't know if Miami would make a run at him. I would love it if they did

If we want Boldin, just give up the 3rd. These draft picks are so overrated, a 3rd round pick for a pro bowl player is a steal.

I wouldn't mind giving up a 3rd for Boldin but I don't know how anyone can love Burleson and say Chambers sucks.

Burleson is so much better than Chambers it isn't even funny

Burleson is a legit NFL WR who puts fear into opposing defenses

You're joking right? Everything proves your theory except the numbers and history.

Seasons over 1000 yards:
CC 1
NB 1

Seasons over 900:
CC 3
NB 1

Seasons over 800:
CC 4
NB 2

Seasons over 700:
CC 7
NB 2

Seasons over 600:
CC 8
NB 3

Career TD avg per season:
CC 6.3
NB 3.8

Career yardage avg per season:
CC 826
NB 506

Career ypc average

CC 14.4
NB 13.5

Seasons with over 10 TD's
CC 2
NB O

Pro Bowls
CC 1
NB 0

Burleson doesn't have Chambers beat in ANY CATEGORY!

His ONLY 1000 yard season was when Daunte threw for 4717 yards and 39 TD's and Randy Moss was drawing double coverage opposite him.

Chambers 1000 yard 11 TD season came when he played with Gus Ferotte and Marty Booker.

His 963 yard 11 TD season came from Feidler and Greise.

His 970 yard 8 TD season came from playing with two different teams with QB's Phillip Rivers and Trent Green and Cleo Lemon.

That proves NOTHING except the Lions overpaid for a perennial underachiever.

Sure he will get a longer and bigger contract than Chambers...he's 3 years younger and Chambers is gonna be two years on the wrong side of 30.

That's the whole point. Buerlson is younger and puts up better numbers.

HENCE, he is better than Chambers!!

HELLO!!!!!!!!!! And the Lions didn't overpay, Nate is an excellent WR and he returns kicks. Plus there is NO SALARY CAP!!! The Lions are giving Stafford weapons and building around him. Something Miami needs to look at and do. Give Henne weapons!!!

Chambers hasn't had a decent year since he left Miami. You are using Chambers stats from 6 or 7 years ago to prop up those numbers.

Step into the year 2010 and live in reality. And if Chambers gets anywhere near $11 mill guarnteed then I will admit I'm wrong

To give PROPS to Detroit for signing Burleson is a TOTAL Joke!

Detroit sucks as will Burleson....overpaid for a fragile player who puts up stats in MEANINGLESS games.....and stats that are average at best.

I'd take Chambers at 32 than Burleson at 28 anyday and for much cheaper.

Detroit will win 6 games once again this yearand Burleson will have 50 catches in 11 games....5 missed due to a pulled groin or something like that.

Bureleson was the first off the board for some reason. Only time will tell. As of now Burleson is a better weapon, when healthy!

In 2009, Chambers averaged 16.2 yds per catch and scored 5 TD. Burleson averaged 12.9 yds per catch and scored 3 TD.

Chambers has missed 4 games in his entire 9 year career. Burleson has missed 22 games in 7 years.

Chambers' worst season was 2008, when battling nagging injuries, he caught just 33 passes for 462 yards and 5 TD. In 4 of his 7 seasons, Burleson has failed to catch at least that many passes for that many yards. In 5 of his 7 seasons, he has failed to score that many TD.

Chambers' 518 career catches rank 97th all time. His 7435 yards rank 93rd all time. His 57 career receiving TD rank 74th all time.

There may be players flying under the radar for the media but probably not scouting departments.

I don't know about White. When the scouting reports say his biggest weakness is an inability to separate from man coverage, I think we have enough of those guys already.

I will go on record right now and say I think Golden Tate is going to be a great WR.

Parcels type of guy too. Fast, Tough, smart, versatile, no baggage, mature....and contrary to the gauntlet drill...good hands.
