Sorry to you Gator fans but I don't trust any Florida LB'er coming into the NFL from Florida. The track record is terrible. The ones that make it to the NFL are usually average to good but not great and not worthy of a high pick.
The last one I remember is Wilbur Marshall and that goes all the way back to the 1984 draft.
well that's 1 out of about 50 but what else ya got? Last elite WR to come from Florida was Darrell Jackson in 2000 and b4 that it was Chris Collinsworth in 1981.
I don't think there is anything more stupid than dismissing a player simply because of his school's track record of producing NFL talent at that position.
panteraize--I don't think it's stupid at all. e.g., I would not draft a hawaii or Tex Tech QB high b/c they are prodcuts of their systems. That's why all the WRs and QBs who dominated at UF under Spurrier were no good in the pros.
i don't think it makes as much of a differance on D, however.
