He was a good linebacker with attitude. I don't know what kind of coach he is, but if he can instill the attitude that he had into his players, then that is a step in the right direction.

Bryan Cox is a clown. You can't make him a defensive coordinator. Any team that did such would be a laughingstock

All I remember about Bryan Cox was that he had a big mouth, that and getting hit with a 9volt in Buffalo.

I remember Mean Joe holding him back on the sidelines by the back of his shirt. It's the same way you keep your 3-year-old from fighting or running out into the middle of the street.

Haha I was just thinking the same thing, only I remember it as Joe holding Bryan by the collar of his shoulder pads.

Who knows, maybe Bryan has grown up by now. But there have got to be more proven candidates out there.

I also remember him telling the buffalo bill fans that they were #1!

All of these positives considered, we need someone that's proven, with an air of respectability to coach our defense. Not some loud mouth.

That and losing us a SB appearance with a shoulder bump in San Diego instead of a real wrap-up tackle.

Actually, Cox should not be criticized for that event when he had to be hel back from taking on the entire Jets team (if memory serves me correctly). He was standing up for repeated cheap shots on his teammates. Good for him.

I don't know why fans were so mesmerized by Cox. The guy was an idiot, he blew more playes than he made, off side calls, interference calls, got beat consistently in coverage then every once in a while makes a sack and folks would go crazy. He is my most disliked phin of all times, a total idiot. Lord do not bring him back take Sutton.

You can say what you want about him as a player, but he never took any bullsh** from anybody. I like that in a linebacker. (P.S.,it was the Bengals on Monday night in his rookie year. If they're gonna bite, they'll bite as pups...)
