We'd have 3 starter-caliber CBs, but only be starting 2. Also, what would this mean for Nate Jones and Jason Allen? FS is one of the toughest positions to play in the NFL. A rookie will need seasoning. I'm not sure we can rely on one next year.

Simple. Our best 3 D-Linemen are all DE's. Why not get the best talent on the field at the same time? Starks may be great as a NT in the NFL. Let's give him a chance!

Wilford tried it last year, before we cut him. In retrospect, after losing David Martin (and seeing how our other TEs played), I think Wilford may have ended up as our starting TE.

I'd love to see Crowder move to the BENCH position. He's not built to play OLB in a 3-4. He's an OLB in a 4-3 at best.

I'm confused. You said we should draft a FS, yet you want McClain and Spikes? When do you intend on drafting this starting-caliber FS?

Well, as good as the Trifect has been at finding late round talent, you never know. They might find a stud FS after round 2. You never know.

I still dont see how you pass up on McClain & Spikes if they are both their respectively in the 1st and 2nd.

And seeing as how the trifecta doubles up on their picks, I dont find it anywhere out of the realm of possibility.

I agree with you. I'd love to have McClain AND Spikes. I just don't see us getting a killer FS in the same draft. I mean, didn't we draft Clemons last year? I doubt we'd get anyone better in late rounds.

Pat White is too small and frail to play WR. Punt returner or kick returner, ehhhhhh, he could still get hit like he did on his run. I don't think the guy belongs in the NFL.

Try to trade him but if we can't, don't continue to throw good money after bad.

If you're looking for a 3rd round FS....there's a small posibility that MORGAN BURNETT FS GT could be there, MYRON ROLLE is a 4th round option.

Starks was not a very good DT in a 4-3 in Tennessee. And he played quite a bit of NT for us in 2008 while Paul Soliai was in the doghouse. He did nothing to distinguish himself. He developed into one of the best 3-4 DE in the league this year, so don't mess with him.

I would only move Will Allen to FS if his ACL injury will not allow him to cut and change direction as well as a CB needs to. Someone needs to be the nickel CB. It's a very difficult position. That CB does not have the sideline to help him, so it's very demanding position. Those demands are why Vontae Davis was rotating snaps with Sean Smith instead of working as a nickel back early in the season. They didn't want Davis or Smith to have to deal with that difficulty while being rookies. Smith doesn't have the quickness to match up with slot WR, so he's out of the equation. So, it's between Davis and Allen to be the nickel guy. And remember, Nate Jones is a free agent.

Turner is a pretty lean player, even at 227. And he was the #1 WR recruit in the nation when he went to USC. I doubt he's ever been asked to block much in his life. I don't think making him a TE is just a matter of 15 pounds of muscle. And he runs a 4.7 now, so doesn't even have a huge speed advantage at his current weight. Add another 15 lbs, he may be a 4.8 guy.

White has to be moved to WR to have any value. He's too short and small to be a QB. And we have our starting QB in Henne. And Thigpen is a guy that's bigger than White, yet still has running skills. He can't run like White, but he's an effective runner. And I don't believe the wildcat is going to be a large part of our future. Add it all up, and there's no real role for Pat White as a QB. Make him a WR right now and spend 2010 learning the position. Maybe he could be a good slot WR for us in 2011. His best skill is open field running. And the only they are going to be getting him the ball in the open field is via the pass. They need to make this move yesterday.

There have been WRs his size and smaller in the NFL. He can put on muscle in the offseason.

If we can get some decent value for him in a trade, I agree, but I don't see it happening.

White to WR for sure.

Turner will likely be gone.

Clemons will be fine at FS. If not, I would move Bell there. That dude can fly and is normally around the ball.

I would say try Ginn at CB and Will Allen at free

I think the gap is in the coaching area on defense and will thus be addressed.

The draft picks mean nothing if they are not used right, and this year mistakes were made.

I for one am looking forward to a new DC and coaches (LB and secondary)
