Top five draft order... by position

I was just curious what people thought our weakest position was and needed immediate upgrade through this years draft. If possible please justify your #1 position

Mines are below

#1 FS
#2 WR
#3 ILB
#4 DT
#5 OG

I think FS because my grand mother could throw for over 400 yards against our defense and she is 85!!!

Just curious what you guys thought. Obviously you have to draft based on ranking as well but all things remaining the same what do you guys think our order is?

ILB, OLB, WR (only b/c I think we're better off getting one in trade or FA than draft), OL (RT ot RG), NT, S, RB (happy to pick one up in FA)

we are OK at QB, DE, and CB. I think Clemons can be a good S.

#1 ILB (can we get McLain?!)
#2 WR (the 2nd round may be too late for a true #1, but if we can get McClain in the 1st it's a no-brainer)
#3 TE (We can get a decent starter in the 3rd round)
#4 NT (Ferguson may come back for one more year, and Soliai is coming along)
#5 FS (We have options, including Clemons or even Will Allen)

Hard to tell with 2 FA TEs, Ronnie B a FA, Bess a FA, and Ferg- those are ALL need positions. All depends on who re-signs really.

When we choose I am hopeful we will have a choice of the following individuals. Each could be a difference maker for any team.

Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama
Earl Thomas, FS, Texas
Jerry Hughes, DE/OLB, TCU
Terrence Cody, NT, Alabama

1.LBs and Wrs will be picked........We hit on 1 WR this year hartline and we need to hit on another next year plus a big free agent signing.

2.We have no ILB thats worth anything.....So we need at least a couple. This is figuring both OLB can play next year porter and taylor....

3.We need a DT to complement soliai.....Ferguson is old and getting older every minute.

4.We need to get rid of gibril wilson and draft another safety.....The jury is still out on this years rookie safety.

I agree with most here that defensive needs will dominate the first three or four rounds.

Ok, Here is my top 5:

1. Defense
2. Defense
3. Defense
4. Defense
5. Defense

and since we have more than 5 picks, I would say throw in a WR after those 5.

Running backs are a dime a dozen, friend. Dont waste a high pick on a RB unless it is Chris Johnson or Adrian Peterson. Other than that a dime a dozen.

I still think the combination of Hilliard and Cobbs can hold us for quite a while at RB. Many teams have won the Superbowl with out a top-flight RB.

I think to a certain extent, you can say that any position comes a dime a dozen with the possible exception of quarterback. But my theory concentrates on our situation wherein we are (as all teams are but us more than most) much more effective when the opposition not only has to worry about Henne's passing but a strong run game.

Also my post is premised on the fact that I thought Jahvid Best was a genuine all-pro back available to us on the first round. He got injured today when he flew into the endzone and landed on his back. He announced today he was going pro. We'll see.

Agreed, Opposing QB's have had too much time to find open guys.

If given the choice between 1) a safety with good coverage but a weak pass rush and 2) a weak coverage safety and strong pass rushing OLB

I take choice 2 every time. You can't hit an open WR deep with a defender hitting you.
