As I was watching him play last night, I was thinking it was funny that we couldn't find room to keep a guy like him around, but Indy could. Of course, he probably learned a lot more about becoming a good WR learning alongside Reggie Wayne than he ever would have here.
Maybe so, but keep in mind we drafted him in the seventh round of the 2006 draft..and this is the first whisper anybody's heard from him. How long do we wait?
This is what I am saying... we don't need to waste picks in the first 2 rounds on a WR. We found Hartline in the 5th... Colston was a 7th rounder... Johnny Knox was a late rounder. We can find one after the 2nd round that will take our O to the next level for sure.
The wr's have been playing well the last few weeks. As Henne matures and delivers the balls more accurately the receivers look better and better. Even Ginn has been catching everything thrown his way including some impressive grabs in traffic and on the sidelines. The "called back" td shows what he is capable of and deffenses have to respect that. A #1 WR opposite Ginn would stretch the defense and open up the middle for Hartline, Bess, and the TE's. Get one in a trade.
I'll be mad if we cut Ginn. He's far from worth the 9th pick in the draft but he does bring skills to the table that no one else on the team has. He's a valuable 3d WR and KR/PR. Also I don't think he's making all that much $
