There is always this scenario also but realistically the playoffs are not gonna happen for Miami this year

RESPONSE: I don't think that works. I think Cleveland HAS to win in order for us to go. I tried it on the playoff scenario NFL.com calculator your way and Jacksonville goes instead of us.

Yes that's the only way we get in, it does not matter anymore that Denver or Tennesse win those are the 4 teams we need help from.

Why not cheer till the bitter end? at least it's something to cheer for at the end of the year. I mean we could be Lions or Browns fans and have had nothing to cheer for for the past 9 weeks.

agree with you razor..just a sliver of hope so the last game somewhat matters i guess is better that reading draft posts on here

Why would you wanna get in the playoffs with this team and watch them get blown off even worst than last year..................OH and go down a slot in the draft.


At full strengh we are not good enough to beat the good teams..Now take away ferguson, will allen, ronnie brown, and what do you have????A struggling team.

POSITIVES...

1.On a good note...I think hilliard is a keeper.



2. We have greatly improved on special teams coverage.



3.Hartline can tackle really well on special teams.


4.Ted Ginn needs to grow a pair of EGGs in order to get to the next level....OOPS thats a negative.......Sorry...


PS. Everybody that said we would be worse this year was right. Henne imo will be good enough to get us to the playoffs in the future, he just needs the weapons which we don't have now. Also he needs to learn to throw a catchable football. Hes got a cannon but he throws it too hard at times..................He needs to be able to adjust the throws especially when the receiver is wide open......like fasano was on a play in which he threw it too hard and overthrew him......

Also i hope henne learn to get rid of the football and not take the sacks........Throw it away please.....He needs a quicker release......Like manning does or brady they are impossible to sack sometimes.......Maybe thats to much to ask of henne but thats what i hope he learns for next year.

ok not that im deluded into us making it or going anywhere....but are some of you really saying that you would take a higher draft over making the playoffs this year?...i realize we are a lower 2nd teir team at BEST but the experience alone imo is worth much more than a few spots in next years draft

What experience? The same experience as last year? Get blown out in the playoffs?

I know we would have another week and dream of us going farther than the first round but come on lets be realistic. We are playing on our second legs. Too many injuries to key players.

PLUS........

1. Our LBs stink..........And now crowder is hurt............We need to draft at least two LBS.....Or a free agent who can actually play....

2. We do not have a #1 WR.............We need a couple in the draft...Free agency...


3. A Feguson and B.allen and C.ronnie hurt...........

A..We need to draft a DT......Soliai is doing better every time i see him though.........

B..Two rookie starting CBs......Dontae will be a stud..........The steal in the first round if he keeps improving..........He is a tackling machine and can hit a ton.............He has also a knack for making the big int at the right moment.......................


C...need to draft a RB since ronnie is always hurt....Can hilliard be the future....?

and move up higher to maybe get someoen we couldnt get from a few spots lower who may be a keeper or may be a bust... i can see once you are eliminated hoping to drop lower for a higher pick(not my philosophy personally but i get it)but exposing our young team to the playoffs experience and therfore raising expectations for next year isnt IMO even close to being tradable for a slightly higher draft....not to mention allowing fans to indulge the fantasy of a cinderella finish....dont get me wrong i am not deluded into considering this a real possoblity but i cant see the "we arent good enough to win it all so why would you want to make the playoffs" approach
