huh!! are you kidding me! this is not a video game. Who are you to judge a person especially since his death has NOTHING to do with any off the field issues. He most likely jumped into the pickup truck in the spur of the moment and his girl took off and he was probably flung out of the truck and his head hit the pavement. NOw what the hell does that have to do with a trouble past? I dont understand how you can make such a comment.
You should only be judging the person you see in the mirror. You all have made mistakes in your life, too. You have NO room to judge, especially because what you're basing your judgement off of is second and third hand reports.
You never want to read os something like this. I believe Chris was changing his life around, maybe not as much as some critics wanted him too. But I believe to be able to ultimately play in the NFL for as long as he wanted too.
100% of boys break the law at some point, in some way. Most stop, some get caught, some don't. Some get away with it, some don't.
This has nothing to do with that.
A man and his fiance had a fight....she got in the truck to leave and he was so desperate to fix things with someone he cared about that he jumped in the bed of the truck that was moving. Maybe he did something bad, maybe he didn't. But the guy was trying to resolve an issue with someone he loved when he fell out of the truck and died.

Mike, you are a joke.
Someone lost a son. Someone lost a father. And that's all you can say?

Wow. That's really sad. I don't have much else to say. I wish the best to his family.

Mike you have acted like a jerk. You will remain a jerk until you write an apology to this forum for your action. No excuses, just do it.
Didn't really affect me hearing about this too much until I read the story and saw the pic of him and his 3 kids, very sad to think of those kids without their father (especially around the holidays). Stuff like this hits you harder after having a kid of your own. Very sad.
I doubt he thought he was putting his life on the line.
You've never done anything in the heat of the moment? I mean really? You seem to be investing a lot of energy into denying him any dignity. Not sure what the price of some grace is...but I doubt it would kill people to bite their tongue on the negative comments.

It sounds pretty much like I heard before, that he was trying to get her to talk. No mention of physical threats, or verbal assaults.
the suicide threat is disturbing.
In any case, it is sad, and I think people need to get off their high horse and show some compassion...even if it is only by with-holding negative comments.
