Since Baltimore is ahead of us in the two way tie break, that would mean they'd have to lose two of the last three. looking at their remaining schedule (Bears, Steelers, and Raiders), that ain't gonna happen.
I don't see the Jets losing. If we win out. And I do think NE will lose one more. I thinK Houston with Andre Johnson lights up that horrible New England secondary in a couple weeks .

RESPONSE: I'll tell you who I'm REALLY rooting for if you will admit how stupid you were the week before by asking whether I wanted THE REDSKINS OR THE SAINTS TO WIN even though it has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE DOLPHINS' PLAYOFFS CHANCES.

RESPONSE: Your concession was wrong. We beat Jacksonville. If we are tied with them AND ONLY THEM, head to head competition rules and we win out. The only way that Jacksonville goes ahead of us is if there is a multi-team tie.
So your original statement was right that Berkeley was making a very nearly silly hypothetical, not as silly as his "Would you want New Orleans to lose if it meant we would not make the playoffs" question.
not getting into this with you again, BobH. if you can't/won't understand my point from this week and last, I could care less.
it is indisputable that a loss by Jax tomorrow night HELPS the phins playoff chances. A loss by the colts does not. Logic dictates that the colts winning is a GOOD thing for the 2009 phins playoff chances.
it's OK if you don't understand that either. we're used to it by now.

Forgetting about Baltimore and the Jets??? If we only go 2-1 over the next three games, that would mean the Jets also have to lose one AND Baltimore would have to go 1-2.
That said, if we lose one we're out.

Hey its not like we were going far in the playoffs even if we got there at full strengh. Now after all the injuries we have a much lesser chance to win even 1 game in the playoffs...

Yes but if both Jack and Miami win out we have the tiebreaker over the Jags as we beat them last week.
So Jack does not need to lose a game I think Balt does because in the event of the 3 way tie Miami loses right?
If Balt and Miami both win out and Jack loses who would have the tiebreaker there?
