We need the Jets and a 3-way tie

Assuming New England beats Buffalo, Miami would then need a 3 way tie to win the division and get the tiebreaker.

If Miami finishes tied with the Jets we obviously win the division. If we end up tied with New England though, the first two tie-breakers we PUSH, and the 3rd factor of tie-breaker we currently don't own over New England and proably won't pass them on.

So, we need a 3-way tie for first place and gotta hope the Jets keep pace with us. Meaning....lets all hope Sanchez's knee is ok! cool smiley

I am hoping for the Pats to lose a few more.

Phins: 10-6
Pats: 9-0,

Then the dolphins to remove the undefeated Colts from the play-offs and then beat the undefeated Saints in the SB, 38 to 28.

It's been a good Sunday!drinking smiley

correction If the Pats lose to Buff and there is a three way tie with the Jets, New England loses to us by virtue of a 3-3 division record whereas our division record is 4-2.

We aren't actually all that bad off in tie breakers. If we win out and NE loses one more game and the game lost is to a conference oponent (they only non conference oponent they have is Carolina next week), Miami has the tie breaker. NE has the next tie breaker pretty handily (strength of Victory) because of the 59-0 Shut out of Houston.

I can't believe it. Pitt and Houston lost today. We still have to play Jax. I thought, for sure, we were out of it when we blew the Buffalo game.

The 4th tie breaker is conference record. As long as NE loses to some besided Carolina Miami will win that tie breaker.

NEW POST: Ooops, I missed the fact that your premise was that NE beats Buff.

Houston is done.
Pitt is on the verge of being done.

I know we have to win out, so to say next weeks game is "big" is kinda dumb. But if we win next week the WILD CARD becomes very real.

Denver has 1 wild card locked up since they play nobody from here on out really. So, even if the division thing falls through we got hope

Forget wildcard... in my opinion we have a better chance at winning the divsion then getting in as a 6th seed. Because the way denver is playing that is the only spot that will be up for grabs.

RESPONSE: The downside of this is that they will be fighing for their playoff lives when we play them in the last game whether we are fighting for the Division or a wild card because as you say below.....
