A good day to be a Phins Fan in New England

I just heard Scott Zolak, former backup QB for both the Pats AND the Phins, call the Pats "not a good team at all" hahaa. Zolak is a local (to Boston) commentator and I was glad to see him say, on TV, that the Pats basically stink.

Also, my neighbor had about 12 cars come over and park in my yard, on the grass, in the street, obviously to watch the game. They cleared out a few minutes ago with glum looks on their faces. Did y'all have a nice party? hahahahaaa. Can't wait to listen to local sports talk radio tomorrow as well. It'll be sweet music.

Curious as to why you didn't man up and tell them not to park on your grass in the first place?

Though I live in KC, I invite a couple of local NE fans over to watch most of the MIA/NE games with me. Up until the earlier game this season, Miami had won each of the games we have watched together. Started with the David Thompson 4th & 10 catch. Obviously, we didn't watch any of the 07 games.

Good to get back on track this time.

Two reasons...first of all I exaggerated when I said "my yard" . it was technically city property, the grassy swale area between sidewalk and street. Not really my yard, just all over the place in front of my house.

Secondly, I like these neighbors a lot. They can't help it that they're Pats fans, they were born with it. I live in a great neighborhood where everybody knows everybody, the kids play in the street, all that kind of stuff that I didn't think existed anymore until I moved here. All truth told their friends are my friends and they would have been welcome to park in my yard for real if they'd needed to.

and what would making them park elsewhere prove?

The real fun is being able to see them get back into their car while dressed in your aqua & orange, wave "bye bye" and say

Y'ALL COME BACK SOON, NOW!

The Pats have a horrible defense. And have only 3 players on offense. Now 2 of those 3 guys on offense are going to the Hall of Fame and the third might be on his way with the numbers he is racking up....but this team is very ordinary.

NE has an easy schedule from here on out.......but this might be their last year winning this division for a while. NY and Miami are coming fast on them

I'm tempted to run the fight song over our PA system in the morning. The old banjo-laden song, not any of the stupidass new ones.

Grab a (borrow from you neigh would be even better).ladder.

Wiat till they are out, put the final score 22-21 on a poster and tack it to your neighbor's tree.

Don't answer the door for a week, so as he has no access to the ladder.

JC I live around here, too. In Allston right now...moving to Quincy in a week.

There seem to be a lot of Phins fans in the area...we need to have a party!

Definitely, Futt. quite an oasis of Fins fans up here. When I first moved to the Boston area I thought I'd be the only native Floridian in the area. Turns out there are quite a few others who have done the same.

I would SO love for us to win the Super Bowl so I can further shut up my Brady-licking coworkers.

Actually I'm not from FL. Grew up in PA and moved to Boston after college.

My grandparents lived in Davie and followed the Dolphins, and we used to fly down for Thanksgiving.

There was one particular game on Turkey Day, which I'm sure you all remember, where our friend, Leon Lett, decided to try to jump on a blocked kick in the snow, resulting in a W for the Phins.

First Miami game I ever watched in full. Been a fan ever since.

That game was a classic. The look on Jerry Jones' face was hilarious. Jimmy Johnson too, with the snowflakes mixed in his hairdo making him look like (a particularly bad) one of his dandruff shampoo commercials.
