My opinion is itis more # 2than # 1. The reason I say that is, he has trouble in traffic or when someone is near him, and does not seem to in wide open field (ala kickoff catches) or when he is not in traffic.
You are happy when Ginn fails, your hate is so strong that even when he does well you find ways to bash him. Even in games now where he is benched and does nothing, you still bash him. Get over it!

When Ginn fails we lose games so no one is celebrating his faults. But you can't deny the fact that he sucks. What are you his agent or something
His primary value to us is as a KR and PR ( if they would use him).
Bess is nothing special s a PR. In fact he has muffed few.
Ginn is signed through 2011, making it expensive to cut him prior to next season. Next year we will have a premiere WR (I hope so)...which means Ginn is VERY expendable as a WR.
I say have him practice as a CB or even a FS and let him train all off-season as a DB and then bring him in to Training Camp to compete for the nickel/dime spot.
Will Allen will be gone. The 2 starting Corner spots are solid. We need depth there.
Having a ridiculously fast defender who also is your PR/KR is way more valuable than what he does at WR.
yeah, I forgot about that. I just looked at the contract and they gave him $10Mil up front, so his salary will be low enough that they can keep him as a #3 CB.
I still think Ginn offers so little at WR that they might as well experiment with him before they cut him.

You want to try this guy out for DB even though it's painfully obvious he's afraid to hit? Seriously?
Teddy will improve as a WR when he's not our number one threat. Until then, accept him for what he is...an above average kick return man. I watched him last week in Charlotte and you should've heard the panther fans cussing Fox for kicking to him. The guy's a threat to go 100 yard every time they kick the ball in his direction and opponents fear that. I, for one, am glad to have someone like that on my team...at least for now...
(the opinion stated above is subject to change at any time based on the previous weeks performance which includes but is not limited to catches, YAC, fumbles, running out of bounds unnecessarily, and of course dropped balls.)
Easy on ripping Deion Sanders and calling him a "softy". The guy was the best cover corner in NFL history and is a 1st ballot hall of fame player.
And if Hartline is our #2 WR next year, we will be in the same mess we are this year with our passing game. We MUST add 2 proven NFL WR's this offseason. Not 1,....2! Guys that put a little fear into opponents
Good point, Realist but huge difference between Deion and Teddy. First of all, Deion was a CB by trade. He played his way into the NFL at the position and learned over years and years of trial and error how to become the number one shutdown corner in the history of the league.
Granted, Deion was a weak tackler but you give that up for his ability to take away the best WR's in the league. In Teddy's case, there's no way he can ever become a shutdown corner with NO experience to date.
As far as cutting him, I don't see that happening. I believe he'll be on this team until his contract expires. He's single handedly won us one game already this year. If he does that once a year, and limits his liability at WR, you may see him re-signed...
