I totally agree. On that series of downs the Patriots manage to throw 4 passes burn something like 18 second. On the prior series they didn't do anything to burn the clock either. If they didn't any type of time management they would have been punting to the colts with little time left. I love it, his own arrogance comes back to bite him.

Of course there is another way to look at it, the pundits are all looking at it differently. We all know that the pundits are idiots for the most part. I think you've got it right.

I personally think he had a brain fart, it was a poor call. Having said that, however, I think he got robbed, on the replays it looked to me like the guy got the first down.

Re whether he got the first down: the fact that Faulk bobbled the ball means that the refs couldn't award him forward progress. He didn't have control of the ball until he was knocked backward, so that's where they had to spot it (at least that's what one commentator said, who only had his nose *halfway* up the Pats' collective butts).

That said, I'm totally shocked that the call didn't go the Pats' way. They seem to get every close call in their favor.

BTW Boston Sports talk radio has been all over Belicheck for his decision and how wrong of decision they thought it was. The radio hasn't been this busy since the Pats lost to SB to Giants grinning smiley

It's been a long time, since I have heard the locals not support Belichek. (cutting of Lawyer Milloy)

Brady threw to the wrong guy. Welker was open. Dumb and Dumber. Proof is the fact that it caused them to lose the game. And I LOVE IT!!
