I like Sperry. The guy has sure hands, is more athletic than Hanos and Fasano.

not sure how good of a blocker he is...but at this point...our passing game needs more help.

I agree, I'm glad we promo'd him from the Psquad. I hope he continues his success.

We definitely have missed David Martin.

This particular style of offense requires that we get production from the TE's in the passing game.

Of course, every team we play against seems to demonstrate how to do it. Winslow had another productive outing as we continue to not stop opposing TE's.

Sperry has made a good case for remaining active once Fasano is healthy.

Sperry is known as a very good pass catcher. He was a 3-time All Mountain West Conference player, with 141 career catches and 20 TD. He runs pretty well (4.7) and was known for showing good body control to make the difficult catches. The TD catch he made was not easy. And the last catch he had was on a pass behind him that he adjusted for. The knock on him is that he was more of an H-Back in college and is not much of a blocker.

Those two catches he made today flashed a glimpse of what Henne is going to look like with a tall sure handed receiver. Sperry was pretty impressive out there today. He made a touch catch when it mattered most. The connection between these two looked like something we haven't seen on this team yet. It was like watching Phillip Rivers to Vincent Jackson. A laser of a pass, thrown with authority to a tall guy who went and got the ball.

My gosh, How did I miss this? Kory Sperry played for Colorado State and was a terrific player in college. I did not know the Phins picked him up.
I put a comment about him prior to the draft that we should get him cause we could get him cheap.

This excites me. He can really catch and was a good blocker in College too.

I was unable to watch he game yesterday. I think Tampa is better than their record but our Phins really need to step it up and Kory just might be a guy that can help.thumbs up

Dude made some really great catches yesterday. Bess - although he fumbled/muffed again - had a couple of really great ones, too. I really had high hopes for Fasano after last year, but Haynos and Sperry look very promising.

Hmm...I wonder if Haynos and Sperry may be our answers at TE. Seeing as how we need help at LB and WR, it would be nice not to have to worry about drafting a TE. It's not like Nalbone did anything.

I agree it would be great if we didnt had to worry about TEnd in the draft and we could spend that pick on another position.

Leon, sperry looks like he can really catch the rock. I hope he keeps it up for the rest of the year. We are going to need it. We've had no big plays from the TE position this year.
