RESPONSE: Yes, that means that there are TWO undefeated teams from different conferences that can MEET in the SuperBowl effectively ending any chance that the 72 Dolphins will remain the only undefeated pro football team in modern history.

If the Colts lose to the Patriots, and THEN END UP IN THE SUPERBOWL, we can root for the Colts. If the Colts don't lose THEN WE HAD BETTER ROOT FOR THE PATRIOTS TO BEAT THE SAINTS otherwise there AGAIN will be TWO UNDEFEATED TEAMS IN THE SUPERBOWL.

Your whole statement was premised on the fact that beating the Colts is no big deal (although they are undefeated so far) and we just let the Patriots get beat by them and then somebody else will take care of them (like that's such an easy thing). I kept hoping that would happen to the Patriots on their run BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN UNTIL THE SUPERBOWL AND THAT'S TOO DAMN CLOSE FOR COMFORT!

RESPONSE: I see I'm dealing with a person with a very concrete way of thinking.

MY POINT IS THAT THE PATRIOTS DON'T HAVE THAT BIG A LEAD OVER US THAT WE HAVE TO THROW-AWAY A CHANCE TO KNOCK OFF AN UNDEFEATED TEAM JUST TO BEAT THEM!

But being a concrete thinker when you hear the word "division lead" you automatically say, "Yeah! Yeah! We need to do everything we can to lead the division and the Colts beating the Patriots will help that."

But you aren't thinking of the CONTEXT that I brought up the one-game Patriot lead. Let me say it a THIRD WAY. The Patriots CAN BEAT THE COLTS AND WE WILL STILL HAVE A GOOD CHANCE TO WIN THE DIVISION BECAUSE THE PATS HAVE LOST 2 GAMES AND AREN'T THAT GOOD OF A TEAM.

RESPONSE: Oh, well, that's right. You didn't say that they will go undefeated and LOSE IN THE SUPERBOWL. You said that they should go undefeated AND LOSE IN THE PLAYOFFS.

BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It should be NO BIG DEAL to stop an undefeated team in the Playoffs!

Well excuse me FOR NOT WANTING TO TAKE THE CHANCE THAT AN UNDEFEATED TEAM WILL GET BEATEN IN THE PLAYOFFS BEFORE THE SUPERBOWL.

It didn't happen with the Patriots.

And if you're wrong and the Saints are there with them in the SuperBowl, then what's your plan?

> Finally, you tell me that I have a lot of "ifs"

RESPONSE: Well, you just got through talking about the Chargers, etc., can easily beat the Colts.

RESPONSE: Oh gimme a break. You'd think we are talking about Osama Bin Laden.

Bellicheat may be the Osama Bin Laden of football in 2009.

But YOUNGSTER, like I said, my view of Miami Dolphin history is almost 50 years old from 1967. HAVING Bellicheat BEATEN IN ONE SINGLE GAME- PARTICULARLY WHEN WE ARE EVEN HIS OPPONENTS IN THAT GAME- ain't worth losing the glory of 17-0 behind.

RESPONSE: Then you are short-sighted as hell. Who's that guy on our board that has or had the tag-line about the undefeated team, done once perfectly or something like that.

You know what team had the best chance of preserving it? The Dolphins did, and they blew two games by not being able to close out the 2nd or 4th quarters and handed Indy and NO touchdowns on platters.

If someone goes undefeated this year, the Dolphins have noone to blame but themselves for it happening. I am still pissed about those games.

There are still 7 weeks of football left. You all are a bunch of lamers for getting worked up about this in week 10.

I haven't even heard Mercury Morris pop off about it yet...that's bad, dudes.
