Who is jumping on? Actually we all love him because he is a Dolphin. We were just arguing that he is not a burner. Big difference Mike. Just because we say a guy is not a burner does not mean we dont like him.
I don't exactly agree, but I too am disapppointed in our overall passing game. It is a combination of average receivers and below average quarterbacking. Ginn is not a #1 WR and is probably 2nd string on most teams. I think that holds true for the rest of the receivers too.
Yeah Henne didn't have a good game, but he certainly didn't get much help.
I think the bigger issue is we don't have any receivers who can consistently catch the ball. Bess and Camarillio are what they are, Hartline might have some potential.Ginn has speed but can't catch consistently.Turner can't even see the field in favor of any of those guys, what does that say about him? At tight end we have a couple of guys who are decent blockers but are not reliable pass catchers.
The offense is one dimensional. When the Offensive Line has a bad game and a team is able to stop our running game, this offense has no answer.
Below average quarterbacking is not saying Henne is a below average player. Dan Marino had oh-hum days-- all QBs have. I'm fully aware of Henne's experience level. Henne did not have a good game today.
Ricky Williams is still a player! Everybody agree?
Camarillo is coming off an injury, otherwise he's good. He even made a great play today. He has solid hands. Bess is great. Ronnie normally has good hands. Cobbs is injured and out for the year, otherwise he'd be catching passes. Hartline played well. Ginn and Fasano sucked as per usual, and crippled our passing game. Basically, right now, Bess is the only experienced, completely healthy receiver on our roster.
As far as putting in Turner, it certainly can't hurt. He can't play any worse than some of the guys out there. He needs a chance.
We didn't pick up a receiver this year, and we just have to deal with that. There will be losses because of it.
We really should have picked up DeSean Jackson or Sydney Rice in the 2d round of the draft a few years back. Coles is older, those guys are stars and only in their early 20's.
Most people think we have handled the QB position poorly since Marino (which we have) but WR isnt that far behind.
